October 4th is right around the corner, and prep for the REDLAND Anime convention has been moving at full throttle. Heading to the event as Nico from Zenless Zone Zero has me genuinely thrilled. To stay faithful to her character, my bestie Lucie and I repeatedly cross-checked every styling detail; huge thanks to her clutch quiz-solving prowess for securing our lead-character pass!

Today's final costume fitting exceeded all expectations. Nico's look appears effortlessly cool, yet wearing it properly requires meticulous precision. The structured leather shorts feature crisp plush fur trim along the hem, creating dynamic visual layering. The multitude of waist harnesses and thigh straps took considerable time to calibrate so they wouldn't slide while walking, while sculpting clean lines along the Over-the-knee socks and combat boots. The cropped tee with black typographic graphics and the fitted black cropped leather jacket feel spot-on.

The wide black choker and hairpieces are the signature accents. The pink twintail wig was trimmed and texturized, with small black bobby clips and the yellow-black cat ear accessories securely pinned. Makeup deepened eye contours to match the pink locks with a confident, edgy gaze. The prop briefcase was detailed with hand-aligned yellow decals, and I plan to fill it with candies for con-goers. The yellow bunny pouch clipped to my hip adds just the right touch of playfulness to balance the tactical leather vibe.

Posing on the white platform pedestal while lifting one leg and flashing a victory sign with the briefcase felt immensely empowering. I can't wait to work with photographers on multiple angles and meet fellow fans. Still brainstorming fun booth freebies like stickers, photo cards, or acrylic charms, so drop your ideas in the comments. See you at the Zenless Zone Zero booth on October 4th!
