For this Honkai Impact 3rd shoot featuring Bronya's "The Flowers of Evil" theme, during pre-production I layered the wig by hand, smoothed out the silver-white strands, and put on the red contacts and black eye patch. Looking in the mirror at that sense of restraint immediately put me in character. The skirt layers black cotton and tulle, accented at the waist with a silver metallic white rose ornament, paired with translucent long black lace gloves and a beaded black choker—the whole outfit felt rich in texture and quite substantial. The studio backdrop was a curtain patterned with white outlines of large crimson roses and black thorns. A sharp red spotlight was cast from the side, hitting my left cheek and shoulder just right to create a dark, blood-tinted atmosphere. The pose of turning back sideways was the highlight of this shoot, as it showed off the volume of the skirt while letting the red light illuminate the contours of my profile and neck, accentuating a cold and dangerous demeanor. Because my vision was blocked by the wide eye patch, posing relied entirely on the photographer's real-time cues. My eyes felt a bit strained after prolonged exposure to the red light, but it actually helped me slip deeper into that pitch-black state of consciousness. In post-production, we deliberately overlaid semi-transparent black thorns and dripping red leaves, wrapping the character in an aura of malice to fully unleash the destructive beauty of "The Flowers of Evil." Reviewing the photos afterward, this dark Gothic style look fit Bronya's naturally cold persona remarkably well, making it an immensely satisfying cosplay experience.
