This outdoor Bronya cosplay shoot took place at Showa Memorial Park, right during the peak of the ginkgo season when the ground was blanketed with golden fallen leaves. For this shoot, I wore a grey-green curly wig styled into twin buns, accessorized with brown polka-dot ribbon bows. For the outfit, I chose a coffee-colored blazer with bright orange turned-up cuffs, layered over a white striped shirt and a red vest. The most eye-catching element was the large orange ribbon bow on the chest, giving off a strong vintage uniform vibe. The long black stockings paired with red Mary Jane shoes created a stark, striking visual contrast against the carpet of golden leaves.
During the shoot, we mainly utilized the backlit angle around 4:00 to 5:00 PM. This warm light filtering through the ginkgo grove was incredibly soft, casting a beautiful rim light along the silhouette. I also tried various poses: leaning against a large tree, sitting on the stone steps, and leaning against the pillars of the covered walkway. The photographer used a wide aperture to blur the background, creating a painterly bokeh effect that transformed the golden leaves into clusters of warm tones.
I personally love the composition where I sit on the stone steps with crossed legs, as this angle highlights the contours of the legs and the texture of the black stockings, while the red leather shoes serve as a clear visual anchor at the bottom of the frame. We also took a few shots standing against trees and shading the eyes with a raised hand, which naturally blended the melancholic autumn atmosphere with the character's persona. During the shoot, I picked up a few fallen leaves to use as foreground elements, making the image even more dynamic. Overall, the shoot at Showa Memorial Park went exceptionally smoothly and harmonized beautifully with the autumn ambiance. Thanks to professional posing and precise lighting control, I was thoroughly satisfied with the final vintage-academic aesthetic—it was a truly wonderful experience.
