Changing into this tailored red and white modified qipao prepared for New Year's Eve, I completed the Azur Lane Cheshire Cosplay photoshoot at this studio in Chongqing filled with exquisite classical Chinese charm for Chongqing cosplay.
Starting with the costume details, the white plush shawl across the shoulders and arms has a thick texture, looking noble on camera while adding a cozy winter warmth to the whole look. The chest section features black semi-sheer paneling with gold thread embroidery, paired with a short wig adorned with red and white flower accessories and signature cyan-blue highlights, creating an eye-catching visual contrast. The high side-slit lower skirt paired with white lace-trimmed thigh-high stockings and cream-white high heels perfectly elongates body proportions.
The set decoration was crafted with immense care: dark carved solid wood daybeds, red wall backdrops, and geometric lattice windows maximized traditional Chinese aesthetics. Black carved lanterns on the right and warm yellow paper lanterns on the left, combined with dappled sunlight casting through window drapes, draped the studio in an intimate, serene mood. Holding the black wine jar tied with red cord, accompanied by celadon vases on wooden shelves and red silk backdrops, made it effortless to sink into Cheshire's relaxed, cozy demeanor.
Poses were designed to avoid stiffness—simply sitting on the daybed, raising an arm slightly, or leaning sideways against chairs allowing the white shawl to drape naturally, showcasing the flowing tailored lines of the qipao. Warm light brushing across cheeks and hair strands, coupled with a relaxed expression, perfectly captured the character's cool yet cute charm. This immersive Chinese mansion set, along with natural light filtering through lattice windows, proves to be the ultimate setup for Qipao cosplay photoshoot themes, leaving me thoroughly delighted with the overall result.
