[Navia cosplay] Genshin Impact: The Confetti and Romance of Spina di Rosula's President

The photos for this Navia cosplay set are finally organized, and I'd like to share some details from that day's shoot. Since this is looking back at an earlier shoot where many photos hadn't been shared yet, it feels good to finally give myself closure on this project. Both the makeup artist and photographer are longtime friends I've collaborated with multiple times, so our coordination was effortless.

Starting with the makeup and styling: because Navia's design in Genshin Impact is exceptionally lavish, I chose a vibrant blonde curly wig. To carry that aristocratic 2D elegance, grooming the wig took considerable time—curling and styling alone took nearly two hours. For the eyes, I used bright blue contacts, focusing the eye makeup on sculpting depth. The white feathers, deep blue roses, vibrant orange bows on the hat, along with the dangling sapphires, were all meticulously refined inch by inch. The costume itself is a patchwork of navy blue and gold; the neckline features black lace inlaid with a large sapphire, while the sleeves are made of patterned translucent sheer fabric accented with golden compass ornaments, offering outstanding drape and texture.

We selected three scenes during the shoot. The first was a piano studio filled with white flowers in the background; holding a bouquet and sheet music brought out a much softer, gentler grace. The second was a grassy meadow setting—I particularly want to highlight the composition of the second photo: the photographer had me sit on the carpet, gently resting my chin on my hand with legs stretched forward, perfectly accentuating the subtle jacquard pattern of the Stockings paired with black boots. It elongated my leg lines under wonderfully soft lighting, making it my favorite shot for showcasing silhouette and overall proportions, which is why I chose it as the cover. The third was a vintage picture frame scene, where holding a gilded frame in front of my face against a dark crimson backdrop gave off the classical, aristocratic grandeur of an oil painting.

The shoot was honestly quite exhausting. The garments were heavy, the hat was far from light, and maintaining a tall, poised posture before the camera was essential. The photographer kept capturing candid moments as I moved, and sometimes we had to crouch in one spot for ages just to find the optimal lighting angle. We also added her signature rose confetti cannon prop, which felt genuinely hefty in hand. To project an effortless regal poise in every gesture during this Roleplay, I deliberately slowed my movement tempo.

Overall, the shoot was thoroughly fulfilling, and the warm temperature on set never hindered my performance. The makeup held up from start to finish without running. The final shots turned out very satisfying, authentically capturing both the character's elegance and dashing charisma. Reviewing the raw photos on the way home, I knew every bit of effort was worth it.
