From the moment I decided to bring Amiya to the CPG08 anime convention, I constantly brainstormed how to refine every styling nuance. Starting with garment textures: the greyish-brown fine-twill fabric paired with a white sailor collar and black stripes added clean, multi-dimensional depth. The turquoise-ruffled petticoat layered beneath the skirt created a striking color contrast whenever it peeked through while walking or sitting. For the matching turquoise ribbon, garter thigh ring, and long blue manicured nails, I calibrated the palette carefully to achieve faithful fidelity to the source art. We picked an asphalt avenue framed by lush green trees for the shoot, using a wide-aperture lens to melt the background into soft, creamy bokeh and lock the visual spotlight onto the subject. We also incorporated the plush bunny prop with turquoise eyes; together with the purple gradient on the tall rabbit ears and cyan highlights at the wig's tips, it captured her persona flawlessly.

Strong breezes on site created wonderful, fluid motion across the flared skirt—particularly when catching candid frames lifting the hemline or waving with one hand. To ensure the makeup lasted outdoors, the base received thorough setting, while the eye makeup focused on striking bright-blue contact lenses and crisp eyeliner, softened by rosy-pink blush and eyeshadow for a radiant flush. In post-processing, color grading sharpened the contrast between the cyan and muted grey tones while pulling down background exposure to keep the focal center squarely on the character and props. Handling the plush bunny required gentle care to avoid snagging the faux fur with long nail tips. Navigating in the flared silhouette demanded cautious movement when turning, yet the outfit remained pleasantly comfortable overall. Throughout the session, I explored various gestures—resting chin in hand, offering the plush bunny forward, or lightly tugging an ear—all designed to channel playful charm while flattering leg contours. During retouching, I pushed the clarity and translucency of the teal-blue hues while preserving original fabric weaves on the black and grey sections, enhancing overall tactile polish. Archiving these photos documents my shoot reflections and served as a hands-on test of my styling and makeup skills—a truly delightful creative journey.
