[Kuromi cosplay] Sanrio Family Collaboration Tour at Wuhan Happy Valley

Attended the Yadea 10th 717 Global Cycling Festival today at Wuhan Happy Valley. The event hosted a modern Sanrio theme zone, uniting the three fan favorites: Hello Kitty, Kuromi, and Cinnamoroll. I cosplayed Kuromi, wearing a taro-purple Lolita dress complemented by Black stockings, platform creepers, black ribbon bows, and skull hair accessories.

The frock features rich dimensions with tiered lace frills and ruffles. To accentuate its silhouette, I designed kinetic poses such as dynamic leaps and outstretched hands. The Black stockings streamlined my leg lines before the camera while anchoring a dark chromatic dialogue with the violet skirts, adding an edgy, sweet-punk vibe. Although traversing an amusement park all day in platform shoes was exhausting, capturing satisfying frames made every step worthwhile.

The set dressing was elaborate, lined with pink backdrops and vibrant ball pits. The exhibition also showcased co-branded electric scooters customized for Hello Kitty, Kuromi, and Cinnamoroll. I made sure to check out the Kuromi-themed Modern Maimang Pro; its textured purple paint and devil motif decals matched my outfit flawlessly. Candid snaps taken while seated beside or leaning against the scooter naturally evoked an anime aesthetic.

Two fellow cosplayers joined as Hello Kitty and Cinnamoroll. Standing side by side, the red-and-white, cyan-and-white, and purple-and-black color stories forged striking visual harmony that constantly drew passing crowds and photo requests. In terms of gear, I brought the Sony A7R6 body paired with 28-70mm GM and 50-150mm GM lenses to adapt to diverse event lighting—using the wide range for environmental full-body shots including carnival rides and the telephoto range to melt background crowds into creamy bokeh. Merging Sanrio icons with urban transit created an exhilarating crossover experience.
