This shoot for Rita cosplay in her Huanxisha outfit from Honkai Impact 3rd by miHoYo fulfilled a long-held creative dream of mine: capturing that delicate balance of classical Eastern charm and lethal combat presence alongside photographer @packy.
The tailored white modern qipao was fitted multiple times beforehand to perfect the contouring around the waist and side slit. Accented with black-and-gold feather filigree, a crimson gemstone brooch, and translucent sheer draping, the ensemble felt weightless yet required constant smoothing to avoid creases. Her golden bob was shaped with face-framing fringe alongside her signature teardrop beauty mark, punctuated by dangling red earrings that swayed with every step.
Two distinct props brought the vision together: an ornate blue silk round fan with amber tassels, and her massive iconic polearm scythe. Balancing with one stiletto heel propped along the scythe blade tested core stability while maintaining the gown's flow, yielding remarkable kinetic tension. Reclining across a fur-lined wooden bench beneath overhead bird's-eye lighting contrasted smooth Black stockings against white heels and dark moonlit backdrops, crafting a deeply satisfying tribute to Honkai Impact 3rd.
