[Xishi cosplay] Checking in at Dian Dou De's Grandview Plaza branch, enjoying Guangzhou morning tea and Cantonese dim sum

Today, wearing my Xishi cosplay, I checked in at the new Dian Dou De branch in Grandview Plaza, Guangzhou. The color scheme of this outfit is mainly blue and white, retaining the classic elements of the character. The upper body is a white high-neck halter style with a light blue bow tied at the chest, and the lower body is a blue pleated miniskirt with silver geometric patterns, with a deep blue long ribbon at the back hem. To complete the overall look, I wore white gloves and short boots with blue crisscross straps. The wig is a long straight black hair with blunt bangs, paired with a deep blue headband and tassel earrings with a cross-star design. For ease of movement in the restaurant, I chose translucent gauze sleeves, which are just right for wearing in the air-conditioned room in summer.

After entering the store and sitting down, I studied the menu. Dian Dou De's Cantonese-style decoration is very authentic, with red booth seating, blue-and-white tiled walls, and gold hollow-out screens. I ordered the signature shrimp dumplings; the wrapper is thin and translucent, and upon biting in, you can see whole, large shrimp inside, with a very bouncy texture. The red rice rolls are cut into small segments, with a reddish outer skin wrapping crispy netting and shrimp, served with three different dipping sauces, making the layers very rich to eat. The honey-glazed barbecue pork has a bright red-and-bright luster, with a balance of fat and lean meat, carrying a hint of caramel sweetness. I also ordered a portion of plain-boiled rice noodle rolls, which have a very smooth wrapper and are flavorful when drizzled with special soy sauce. The buns are steamed to be very soft and fluffy, with a molten filling. For the beverage, I chose a cup of strawberry sparkling drink with ice cubes and mint leaves; it's sweet and sour, very refreshing.

While waiting for the food, I took a few photos at the entrance holding a promotional flyer printed with Guangzhou and Yin Cha Xian. There is a huge white mascot at the entrance, smiling happily while holding a bowl, and I took a photo next to it. Inside the store, there is an open-view kitchen where I saw chefs in tall hats busy inside, with steamer baskets emitting steam. Hanging in the glass display window next to it were marinated meats and roasted meats, looking very appetizing under the lighting. Because today is the weekend, there were quite a few customers inside and outside the store, so I deliberately chose an inner booth seat so that taking photos and dining wouldn't disturb others.

Integrating the character into the daily Guangzhou morning tea scene this time was a quite special experience. Although walking around the mall in cosplay will attract some glances, as long as it doesn't affect others, it's fine as long as you have fun. The service staff in the store were also very attitude-friendly; seeing me holding props and flyers, they even actively pointed out good photo spots. After finishing this hearty Guangzhou morning tea, I feel that the rest of my itinerary is full of energy.
