Regarding the character Dahlia Constance, I previously searched online and noticed that not many guys had attempted this style, so I decided to take the leap as the first to try it. As a Male cosplay attempt, pulling off such an ornate and maturely alluring design required extensive effort in makeup and styling. To faithfully capture that aloof, cold, and slightly mysterious demeanor, I invested heavily in the makeup: wearing purple contact lenses, elongating and winging the eyeliner upward, and applying sculpted face contouring. The wig was trimmed back and forth multiple times, ultimately achieving blunt bangs with a blue-and-gold highlighted gradient in the back.
This High-detail cosplay costume is genuinely heavy-duty. The moment I put it on, the sheer weight—especially bearing down on the waist, abdomen, and shoulders—felt like it practically compressed my posture. The black gauntlet on the right hand, adorned with spikes, golden chains, and flower ornaments, was an absolute seal on mobility; wearing it rendered my right hand practically unusable, leaving only my left hand to handle my phone or adjust the costume. Moreover, the accessory clasps were quite fragile; in a packed convention environment, every step was nerve-wracking for fear of breaking pieces while turning around. The prop tail was originally a huge highlight, but once worn, the mounting method proved very unreliable, sliding down with the slightest movement. To avoid delaying my schedule or compromising the overall look, I made the painful decision to leave it off, which was a small regret of this convention trip.
The shoes definitely deserve special praise. Because the skirt features a high slit, I specifically paired it with these 9cm white heels with black soles and Stockings to balance the overall proportions and aura. I initially expected to get exhausted within half a day and crave slippers, but the arch support on these heels was surprisingly good—they carried me through a whole day of standing and walking without severe foot soreness, which was an amazing surprise. However, walking around the mall and venue on a rainy day meant wet marble floors coupled with the trailing skirt hem essentially ruined this brand-new, unphotographed Delusion3 outfit on its first outing. Seeing the stains on the skirt hem really broke my heart.
I met many fellow fans in the convention hall—several people recognized the character and came up for photos, and getting curious looks and questions from passersby was a frequent, wonderful experience. But because the venue was so chaotic and I haven't had the time to edit the photos yet, I sincerely apologize to all the photographers still waiting for their returned shots! I will finish retouching them over the next couple of days and deliver them as soon as possible.
