The core setting of this shoot is an outdoor classical garden scene with archways and greenery, focusing on recreating the visual conflict of the character's pink, blue, and wine-red color clashing. The costume features numerous details, especially that wine-red velvet short cape, which actually has a heavier texture than it looks flat. It is adorned with gold-stamped patterns and black borders, plus a pink scalloped hemline at the bottom of the cape, providing rich layers. The inner white shirt with lantern sleeves uses a more breathable fabric to match the overall lightness, and the gold piping and row buttons at the cuffs echo the embroidery of the outerwear beautifully. The lower body's white multi-layered tiered skirt naturally spreads out when walking, which, paired with pure white tights and black thick-soled lace-up round-toe shoes, not only elongates the visual proportion but also stabilizes the center of gravity of the styling.

Regarding the wig, this pink-and-blue two-toned spliced styling is the visual core of the entire character. Pink serves as the primary color, while the large patches of bright blue hair strands on the sides and ends form a very distinct contrast. The plush animal ear hair accessories fixed on both sides of the top of the head needed repeated angle adjustments before shooting to avoid flattening the curve of the hair strands on top and to maintain a voluminous feel. Additionally, the white unicorn plush prop is a major plus for the entire frame; its horn is rainbow-colored, and its closed-eye smiling expression is exceptionally soft. During the actual interaction process, when cradling it in my arms or holding it high with one hand, special attention had to be paid to the pressure points of the wrist to prevent the plush toy's face from severely deforming—after all, squishy materials appear much more relaxed and cute on camera.

The shooting scene is a light beige stone column archway with a classical sculptural feel, surrounded by lush greenery, with afternoon sunlight filtering through the gaps in the leaves to form very beautiful light spots. This high-key natural light, combined with a soft exposure, beautifully highlights the cleanliness of the pink and white. The half-body photo looking back in Figure 2 is a compositional layer I'm relatively satisfied with; it not only avoids facial shadows brought by the tree shade but also allows the unicorn to form a harmonious concave angle with my body, while the side profile posture fully exposes the embroidery details of the cape. The frontal perspective in Figure 3, holding the unicorn high with both hands, actually requires a certain degree of shoulder extension—while keeping the skirt hem falling naturally, the lantern sleeves on the arms must cooperate to create a voluminous curve to avoid collapsing. The full-body angle in Figure 1, looking back with my back to the camera, requires slightly dropping the shoulders to prevent them from looking too wide, while also paying attention to the creases of the wine-red coat, as the texture would be heavily compromised once the fabric stacks into lumps.

Throughout the shooting process, the framing effect of the archway provided a strong sense of focus to the image, and the vibrant green background nicely balanced the pink, blue, and wine-red on the character. When placing an anime cosplay look into a real garden via outdoor photography, the biggest difficulty is actually how to blend the demeanor with the background without looking too stiff. Therefore, I tried using relatively relaxed body language to interact with the plush prop, letting the whole presentation convey a dreamy style cosplay slice-of-life feel, as if casually snapped during a journey in another world. For the makeup, I chose bright blue contact lenses and a translucent base, with the pink-purple lipstick complementing the hair color. Although outdoor photography comes with shifting light, it preserved the inherent colors of the costume to the greatest extent, and I am quite satisfied with the color accuracy in the final photos. Using the archway, greenery, and plush doll as backdrops this time can be considered finding a way to present this look that aligns perfectly with the desired atmospheric vibe.
