Because we were shooting the setting for the Omphalos theme, right from the stage of preparing the costume and hair accessories, I was deeply touched by the quiet yet fragile aura of the character Cyrene. My shooting partner this time was still my old friend Nasu, and the entire set design and props revolved around dreaminess and translucency. The combination of flowers on the headpiece, cloud-patterned lace, and a giant veil really tested our positioning and the wind sense during the shoot.

Since the costume itself is quite lightweight and flowing, combined with semi-sheer tulle and crystal-refracting reflective materials, I did some subtraction on the base makeup this time, focusing instead on the shaping of light, shadow, and eye expressions. The wig color was also a specially blended light color scheme, which, paired with the elf ears, aimed to recreate that illusory yet realistic feeling.

The skirt has many layers, and it easily got tangled when sitting or kneeling, which required me to constantly arrange it on-site. I also have to thank Nasu for the patient waiting and guidance. Especially for the kneeling pose in Photo 3, I actually tried the composition angle several times, needing to ensure the lace stacked beautifully while capturing the exact emotion looking into the camera.

Lighting was the soul of this shoot. White tulle drapery, holographic geometric props placed on the side, and cascading crystal prisms reflected blue and purple light under the spotlight, instantly maxing out the entire frame's atmosphere. During the shoot, we also had to be careful not to let the prop stands or hanging elements block the main visual focus of the face.

I know many players have deep feelings about the ending of Omphalos. The theme 'becoming yesterday's tomorrow' carries a rich sense of narrative, so I hope to convey the unique temperament of this setting through this set of photos. Sharing these saved photos, with thanks to Nasu for freezing these moments. We went to a real-scene studio this time and realized that the cooperation between light and environment heavily impacts the texture of the final images.

The intervals between shooting were actually very exhausting. Especially the complex headpiece, which feels heavy after wearing it for a long time, and those chunky high heels—standing for long intervals genuinely made my legs sore. But seeing the resulting photos, I feel it was all worth it. The fluttering of the hair and the hem of the dress took several attempts to capture the most satisfying moments.

There wasn't heavy intervention in the post-processing; it was more about restoring the live blue-and-purple tones to make the skin texture look clearer and more natural.

This shoot was indeed quite a hassle. From styling to props and then to scene arrangement, every single step required repeatedly refining the details. However, I quite enjoyed this process of striving for perfection.

In fact, for this kind of dreamy elf-style cosplay character, the hardest part is how to exhibit uniqueness without falling into cliches. Utilizing my strong suit—the catchlight in the eyes—combined with the semi-translucent makeup, concentrates the attention on the character's inherent temperament. I hope this set of photos can bring everyone a visual experience from a different perspective.
