When I started prepping for this Phoebe cosplay, the trickiest part was definitely the layers of the skirt. Phoebe's blue-and-white sailor design from Wuthering Waves demands precision in both silhouette and craftsmanship to stay true to the original art. The top is a classic white long-sleeved shirt trimmed with blue sailor stripes along the collar and cuffs, with a light-blue striped bow at the chest serving as the visual anchor; to give it more dimensional structure, I reinforced the bow's internal framing. The skirt features a three-tiered structure: a light blue pleated skirt on top, deep navy lace ruffles in the middle, and a fluffy white petticoat underneath. These three tiers look stunning in motion and poses, but wearing them requires the waistline to sit at the exact right height, otherwise it easily looks bulky. To align with Phoebe's temperament, I chose blue colored contact lenses and a clear, translucent light-blue base for the eyeshadow. The wig was styled in long golden curls, topped with a blue beret and side blue ribbons. In terms of props, I prepared white daisies—holding them in hand in Photo 1 and placing them inside a woven wicker basket in Photo 2, where the white blossoms echoed the blue-and-white dress seamlessly. For footwear, brown Mary Janes were paired with white lace-trimmed ankle socks, adding a lovely retro touch. For the studio shoot, we chose relatively bright, cool-toned lighting against a seamless backdrop paper transitioning from pure white to soft blue, ensuring the character's palette popped cleanly. The pose in Photo 1—lifting one leg with the left hand pointing upward—tested core balance significantly; we shot it several times to capture the exact instant the skirt flared up. Thanks to the multi-layered construction, the skirt displayed natural, graceful curves and textures as it spun. To freeze the dynamic motion of both hair strands and the skirt fluttering simultaneously, the shutter speed was dialed up quite high, requiring the photographer to push the lighting power to keep the exposure sufficient. The side-angle basket pose in Photo 2 was relatively quiet and poised, highlighting the side profile tailoring and overall silhouette. The wicker basket had great texture, and the daisies inside were fresh real flowers that smelled wonderfully sweet. The entire shoot went smoothly, and the colors of this outfit radiate vivid life under both sunlight and bright studio lights. Although I had to constantly readjust the belt after dynamic poses, seeing the finished photos made every bit of effort worthwhile. Grooming the long golden curls also took considerable time; the curls at the ends had to be heat-styled layer by layer to achieve this airy yet natural bounce. For friends planning to try this Phoebe cosplay, I recommend avoiding an overly exaggerated petticoat so the proportions remain faithful to the original design. Additionally, when color-grading blue-and-white costumes in post-processing, be sure to preserve the luminous clarity of the blues without muting the saturation too much. Overall, I am very satisfied with this photoset; from pattern drafting to prop coordination, every effort was made to recreate the character faithfully, and I hope this showcase offers helpful inspiration to fellow fans who love this design.
