[Kiriko cosplay] Overwatch Pastel Cat Cafe: White Ears & Black Tail Meow

Bringing this pastel cat cafe concept for Kiriko from Overwatch to life took meticulous care across wardrobe coordination and set selection. Kiriko's character design naturally carries an agile, spirited aura; instead of her combat leather gear, I stepped into this pink-and-white maid dress to evoke an everyday charm infused with two-dimensional flair. The dress is rich in fine details—the oversized pastel-pink bow and heart gem centered at the neckline pop brilliantly on camera. To complete this look, I wore fluffy white plush cat ears flanked by tiny golden jingle bells that chimed softly with every tilt of my head. The black cat tail behind was pinned securely to the skirt gathers, requiring repeated angle checks before shooting to ensure a natural curve. Pairing pink puffed sleeves with a crisp white apron created charming structural depth, and the golden feline crest embroidered onto the apron resonated seamlessly with the cat cafe theme. Crafted from multiple layers of sheer tulle supported by a hoop petticoat, the skirt flared into a buoyant bell shape when spinning. The lower half was styled with White stockings and pastel-pink platform heels towering around 10 cm; though walking in them all day was an uphill battle, they elongated my leg lines so dramatically that the physical strain was worth every second. The wig was a deep blue-violet straight cut with blunt bangs, lightly thinned across the forehead to avoid feeling too heavy while ensuring a flush fit alongside the cat-ear clips. For makeup, matching the sweet pastel theme, I swept soft pink eyeshadow and blush across my face, finishing with high-shine lip gloss.

Our chosen venue was a vintage retro cat cafe. Sculpted red toadstool ornaments, weathered wooden cabinetry, art-lined walls, and warm amber lighting provided a dreamlike background for the pink coordinate. The first set was shot by photographer Haiyang, whose expertise shines in framing clean compositions around interior light, shadow, and environmental props. He posed me on a vintage wooden chair holding a traditional round fan painted with cat illustrations, and later propped a red-and-white parasol as an accent piece. These frames featured balanced, formal compositions focused on capturing the full silhouette along with the textures of the White stockings and platform heels in seated positions, resulting in a pristine, uncluttered visual appeal. The second sequence shifted to photographer Muyou, whose dynamic style leaned into kinetic moments and organic interaction between subject and environment. Several resident cats happened to roam nearby, so I took turns cradling a long-haired white cat and a plump tabby. Posing with live cats is quite an art: cats are remarkably fluid and notoriously uncooperative, requiring me to soothe them, keep my facial expression relaxed, and protect the delicate skirt gathers from stray claws simultaneously. The white cat was adorably aloof and somewhat haughty, which ironically introduced a delightful contrast in the final shots. Muyou also captured me crouching beside a wooden table observing a grey shorthair wearing a red bib embroidered with English lettering; leaning forward gently showcased the flowing tiers of the skirt and the buoyant curve of the tail beautifully. A minor hazard of shooting in a cat cafe is stray fur—especially on opaque White stockings, which attract hair like a magnet—so I spent nearly every pause rolling them clean with a lint brush to keep the frames immaculate.

All in all, the entire shoot flowed seamlessly. The retro cat cafe offered rich foreground and background textures, while the feline stars injected irresistible warmth and life into the photography. Through the distinct lens perspectives and stylistic signatures of both photographers, this pastel cat cafe Kiriko cosplay received a multi-dimensional showcase. From the initial conceptualization, costume layering, and prop curation to candid moments with the cats, every single step was brimming with joy. Spending hours in towering platform heels was physically exhausting, but seeing the garment textures and the cats' precious expressions come alive in the final deliverables made every bit of preparation and fatigue melt away.
