Choosing to challenge Phoebe from Wuthering Waves this time, I was truly thoroughly attracted by the detailed beauty of this costume. To restore the character's cool yet vibrant temperament, I put a lot of thought into polishing the makeup and styling. Especially that huge white top hat, which required a high level of balance control during the actual shoot, but the ethereal sense it presented in front of the lens was indeed outstanding.
The selection of the costume's texture is also key. The light and shadow changes of the white skirt hem under different angles are exactly where the importance lies in restoring the core aesthetics of 2D characters. Paired with White stockings and exquisite accessories, the whole look instantly gives off that "Cute girl" vibe. In the studio, the cooperation with the instructor from Kasumi Studio was highly seamless; we kept discussing how to better capture the dynamic beauty of the character through body movements. Every turn and expression of the eyes was meant to align with the character's original personality setting.
As a cosplayer who pursues the texture of the work, I have always loved characters with bright colors and a strong sense of design. This shoot is not just simply putting on clothes, but a deep restoration of light, shadow, composition, and the character's core. Every minor adjustment of the pose is to provide the most perfect visual and auditory experience in front of the lens. I hope that through this creation, friends who love Wuthering Waves can feel this affection for the character, and I also hope to exchange more details about costume design and shooting with everyone.
