Today, let's talk about the behind-the-scenes details of shooting this Wuthering Waves Phrolova cosplay set. The moment I received the costume, I was captivated by the massive ruby on the chest and the rich texture of the black and red spliced fabrics. To recreate the mysterious yet languid aura seen in her character art, I put a lot of thought into styling the wig—the pale grayish-green strands needed to stay airy and voluminous at all times, without feeling flat against the scalp. The oversized fluffy ears for this Kemonomimi cosplay took a long time to secure; to achieve a naturally upright curve, ample internal support was added, and I had to be careful not to bump against the adjacent tassel hair ornaments during the shoot.

The Chinese Ancient style cosplay study room setting we chose was a truly perfect match for this outfit. Wooden lattice windows, a plush blanket across the daybed, alongside the Go board and antique lanterns—the mood was dialed to the max the moment the light and shadow fell across the scene. To capture a look both sultry and relaxed, I tried a pose leaning against a red gift box. This pose actually tests core strength: relaxing the shoulders while engaging the core and waist to let leg lines extend naturally, all while keeping that nonchalant, effortless look in the eyes. Sitting barefoot on the wooden daybed, the raw wood grain and soft texture of the blanket added tangible realism to the frame.

For makeup, I chose reddish-brown tones for the eye makeup to echo the red tassels on the costume and the red markings on the back of my hand. To ensure the highest photoshoot quality, every adjustment in posture was accompanied by a careful check of the skirt's drape, guaranteeing that the lines along the slit flowed smoothly. The entire shoot went smoothly, and I hope this Wuthering Waves cosplay series conveys Phrolova's distinctive, mesmerizing presence to all of you.
