With the Honkai: Star Rail x White Rabbit collaboration debuting Hyacinthia's design, and seeing as our local supermarket had a dedicated display area, I set out to shoot a set of photos steeped in everyday realism. Staging a location shoot in a supermarket confectionery aisle is actually quite challenging; harsh overhead fluorescent lights demand careful angling to produce flattering chiaroscuro.

Regarding the wardrobe, this red-and-white color-blocked uniform pops with vibrant energy, and pairing a scarlet beret with pastel pink twintails looks delightfully striking. To honor Hyacinthia's charm, I trimmed and textured the wig for airy, fluffy volume, reshaping the curl of the twintails multiple times so they would drape naturally on camera. For makeup, the eyeshadow harmonized with the wig's palette, paired with a slightly heavier blush application to evoke a radiant, healthy glow. The azure neckerchief at the collar and the blue-and-red braided patterns along the sleeves are exquisitely crafted. The lower half was styled with crisp white shorts, White stockings, and classic black Mary Janes, creating a look that is wearable day-to-day while retaining clear ACG identity.

During the session, the most playful element was interacting with the two oversized novelty White Rabbit creamy candy wrapper props held in my hands. The shelves stocked with genuine White Rabbit candy tins and boxes served as an authentic, charming backdrop. To capture varied perspectives, I moved between crouching, three-quarter turns, and frontal standing poses. Glare from retail spotlights was nearly impossible to avoid entirely, so we balanced ambient indoor store light with daylight filtering through the entrance, keeping post-processing subtle to preserve the bright, inviting ambiance.

The collaboration's packaging design is inherently adorable, inspiring numerous micro-interactions on set—such as giggling while hugging the jumbo candy or pretending to browse the shelves. While the process was physically tiring, reviewing the final frames made every moment worthwhile. This styling is not only suited for conventions or studio shoots; wearing it while shopping in a supermarket felt surprisingly organic. Many shoppers glanced over with curiosity, and a few even asked if it was official promotional merch or a new blind-box campaign.

Ultimately, the greatest joy of cosplay lies in enjoying the process of dressing up and immersing oneself into character. Merging 2D aesthetics with 3D everyday life felt incredibly refreshing. I hope everyone can feel this lighthearted, breezy atmosphere through the photos. That wraps up this shoot's journal entry!
