[Shimoe Koharu cosplay] Blue Archive's pink little devil Firefly ACG Expo convention photos

This time I went to the Firefly ACG Expo to shoot Blue Archive's Shimoe Koharu, and I made a lot of preparations in advance from makeup to clothing details. The pink twintails wig was trimmed on the basis of the original, with the hair ends slightly curled. To better fit the original design, the top of the head was also treated to be fluffy. Purple contact lenses matched with red-pink eyeshadow, especially the smudging on the lower eyelids, made the eyes look more spirited. In terms of clothing, the black long-sleeved jacket has a relatively loose cut, with the pink stripes on the cuffs and the white geometric print on the left arm being key points. The inner white sailor collar and pink bow tie restore the character's academic style. To match the overall styling, I wore a red pleated skirt and white shorts with lace edges on the bottom, paired with white slouch socks and black platform small leather shoes. The black choker around the neck is the soul accessory, instantly maximizing the 2D atmosphere.
At the site of the Firefly ACG Expo, the sunlight was great, but walking outdoors wearing this outfit was also very hot. We found several places outdoors to shoot, such as gray brick ground, beside bushes, and near lockers. The sitting posture on the ground in Picture 2 was actually because I was really tired from walking at the time, so I simply sat directly on the ground to rest. As a result, I found that this angle can well showcase the details of the legs and socks, and because the skirt is pleated, it naturally spreads out when pressed against the ground, looking particularly full of life; that casual state actually turned out great photos. The pointing-at-the-lens gesture in Picture 3 is meant to show the character's playful feeling with a bit of a little devil attribute—the body leans forward slightly, fingers point at the lens, and the gaze needs to be very focused. The gesture in Picture 4 is to reflect the character's cuteness: hands raised, wrists naturally drooping, and the curved arc practiced in front of the mirror a few times in advance. Combined with the somewhat cool-white skin tone and black sleeves, the contrast immediately came out. Picture 5, with completely open arms, was shot against the light; the light passed through the pink wig, glowing at the edges of the hair strands, making the whole person look very relaxed and stretched.
The entire shooting process was a big test for expression management. Because the character has the characteristics of coexisting tsundere and cuteness, it is necessary to switch gazes and facial muscle states in different actions. To avoid looking messy during shooting, the aperture was opened to the maximum, and the convention crowds and trees in the background were all blurred, which made the main character extremely prominent. Convention shooting often has complex lighting and dense crowds, but making good use of natural light, such as letting the sunlight hit from the side or obliquely from behind, can enhance the three-dimensional sense of the photos. This time playing Shimoe Koharu, whether it's costume, makeup, props, or shooting state, I tried my best to get close to the character's settings. Paired with black and pink contrasting color clothing, it looks both eye-catching and harmonious against the bright outdoor background. Being able to communicate and shoot with so many like-minded friends at the Firefly ACG Expo and overcoming the limitations of venue and weather is in itself a wonderful thing.
