[Cyrene Cosplay] Honkai: Star Rail — First Trial into a Pink Dreamscape

Stepping into the fitting room to try on this outfit from CYY, my immediate impression was its incredibly heavy craftsmanship. The white base fabric is adorned with silver 3D pattern embroidery, while the blue-purple gradient cloud motif across the chest is exceptionally refined. Though the caption jokingly mentions wearing it for two hours, the pre-shoot preparation took far longer to achieve the final visual impact.

That bald 'egg head' snapshot on slide two shows my true behind-the-scenes state right after completing my base makeup. Inserting contact lenses and applying upper and lower false eyelashes form the core of cosplay makeup. Selecting light purple contacts took careful deliberation to find a shade that remained pure without causing eye dryness during long wear. Securing my long hair tightly beneath a black hairnet was the crucial foundation for wig stability—how firmly a wig sits depends entirely on flattening the hair net stage.

For hair, I selected a short pink wig with fine hair texture, trimmed with precision across the bangs and layered back. Combined with elf ears and a white feather-like headpiece anchored on a curved wire frame, the character's ethereal agility instantly emerged. The white neck collar fits snug against the skin, while a small blue flower at its center subtly balances color purity. Colorful pink, blue, and yellow rainbow ribbons wrapping the wrists added extra charm, fluttering with movements to match her lightweight grace.

When holding a camera or phone to frame shots, I paid close attention to lens angles, as elf ears and headpiece extensions dictate edge composition. In photo one, holding a hand near my cheek showcased broad costume elements while drawing visual focus to facial cosplay makeup and eye expression. The overall makeup utilized soft earth tones to define double eyelids and aegyo sal, paired with a natural milk-tea lip color to enhance vitality.

In Honkai: Star Rail, characters carry distinct artistic styles where accurate recreation demands more than visual likeness—it requires capturing an aloof yet gentle gaze. Though this makeup test record lasted only two hours, every subtle blink, headpiece adjustment, and collar crease alignment drew me closer to the character's soul. Wearing the outfit involved meticulous steps, but the final presentation made every bit of preparation thoroughly worthwhile. From behind-the-scenes prep in photo two to the finalized look in photo one, it was a complete, deeply fulfilling cosplay experience.
