Today's pink-themed ensemble took quite a bit of time to style. For the Wig styling, I chose a bright pink with an orange-red sheen, tied into a bun at the crown and accented with a pink-and-white checkered bow, visually adding height and dimensional layers. The bangs were thinned out to drape naturally along the sides of my cheeks, nicely contouring my face.
As for the makeup, to harmonize with the overall sweetness, I picked reddish-brown contact lenses. The eye shadow used a generous pink base with deepened gradients along the outer corners to soften my gaze. The eyeliner was subtly elongated for an innocent touch, while blush was brushed right beneath the eyes and across the apples of the cheeks. Paired with a soft pink-orange lip color, the makeup felt light, airy, and never cakey.
For the outfit, I wore a white short-sleeved T-shirt today. The neckline is trimmed with a pink checkered pattern, and the chest features prints of pink hearts, strawberries, and pink swirls. On my wrist, I wore a pink wristband with green accents, injecting a hint of sporty, casual charm.
The featured plush prop this time was a pink-haired ragdoll. The doll has large red eyes, and I dressed it in reflective blue sunglasses; it was wearing a white top, a blue bow tie, black pants, white shoes, and carried a patterned paper tag. Holding this doll during the shoot brought out a wonderfully lively sense of interaction.
The studio backdrop consisted of low-saturation color blocks in pink, white, and baby blue, with a wooden-frame chair featuring blue-and-white striped upholstery placed behind me. The overall lighting was bright yet soft, primarily highlighting skin tone and the natural textures of the fabrics.
The posing was also designed to suit the sweet theme. In one shot, I placed an index finger over my lips in a 'shh' gesture while looking into the lens; in another, I leaned my cheek close to the doll with my head tilted to show intimacy; and in another, I held the doll up beside my head while looking up toward the camera. Each pose aimed to convey a relaxed, adorable vibe.
Looking back on the shoot, this pink palette proved to be incredibly photogenic on camera. The harmonious colors and interaction with the plush prop made the whole process smooth. The fluffiness of the wig and the color cohesion of the makeup were key to the final results, and I definitely look forward to experimenting with similar color palettes next time.
