[Denia Cosplay] Guangzhou Wuthering Waves Only Dreamy Bubbles and Red Chair Blockbuster

Guangzhou Wuthering Waves Only offline special shoot, bringing Denia Cosplay's look to complete this set of photos wandering through bubbles. Since it was Denia's birthday, I always wanted to use some special light and shadow to remember this day, so under the collaboration of Tuntun Photography Club and Zhuoying Studio, we set up this studio portrait plan themed around a red velvet high-back chair and a sky full of soap bubbles.

Let's first talk about the look this time. The wig is a long curly style with a gradient from pink-white to light purple; because the hair volume is extremely thick, to recreate a lightweight and fluffy volume without looking messy, the bottom hair net actually underwent several layers of edge-tucking treatment. The ahoge on top of the head was a difficult point and hard to fix, requiring quite a lot of hair wax and setting spray repeatedly to make it stand up obediently, but once the white geometric pattern hair accessory with a black bow was clipped on, the entire head shape instantly became three-dimensional. The blue-and-gold streamlined hair accessory on the side also looks highly textured under the reflection of light.

The preparation for the costume part was actually quite tedious. The top selected a white fabric with a subtle pearlescent feel, spliced with large pieces of semi-translucent pink sleeves, and the area where the cuffs cinched featured a white plush border that felt very soft. Combined with that sapphire collar and the multiple layers of gold chain ornaments cascading down the chest, the overall gorgeousness was completely maxed out. The bright red gloves on my hands are a highly core pairing this time; the back of the gloves is embroidered with gold thread patterns, and the material is thin and form-fitting, creating a powerful color focus in the frame. The lower body is a black short skirt, with the deep blue satin fabric at the hem appearing indistinctly, and the cross-straps of the black platform high heels feature three-dimensional gold star shapes. The black-and-gold color scheme just happens to ground the light color scheme of the upper body, making the visual center of gravity of the overall outfit more stable.

The atmosphere at the shooting venue was very wonderful. The lighting adopted a high-key soft light scheme, paired with strip softboxes to create a large area of white light environment. The photographer used a medium-to-long focal length lens to compress the frame, ensuring that the red chair behind and the Persian-style carpet underfoot could form an excellent front-to-back layered echo. The sky full of bubbles was blown manually on-site; to ensure that the rainbow aura refracted by the bubbles looked beautiful enough, the shutter speed had to keep up with their drifting trajectories. The assistant blew them repeatedly for a long time; sometimes the bubbles drifted right in front of my face, and sometimes they blurred the lens, making the entire process full of random surprises.

For the post-processing retouching, thanks this time to the solid imaging foundation of the equipment, and further refined through Meitu Cloud Retouch's fine style processing, the color saturation of red, blue, and white in the frame was beautifully suppressed within a high-key but not harsh range. This both preserved the authentic texture of the facial skin and made the translucent feel of the bubbles and the reflection of metal ornaments look perfectly in place.

Actually, wearing high heels and sitting on this kind of hard chair for a long time easily makes legs sore, but communicating with the photographer to switch through movements like chin propped on hands, fingertips lightly touching cheeks, or reaching out toward the camera made time pass quite quickly. Different movements put different requirements on facial proportions, but fortunately, the makeup artist was spot-on in handling facial shading. The entire creation process required repeatedly adjusting the position of the skirt hem, ensuring it wouldn't be pressed by the edge of the chair while letting the white sheer veil beside obscure the chaotic background behind. These seemingly fine adjustments ultimately transformed into clean and three-dimensional visual effects in the final cosplay portrait images.

The enthusiasm of the offline peers at Guangzhou Wuthering Waves Only was exceptionally high. Being able to appear here in this costume and catch Denia's birthday felt highly commemorative. Every shoot is inseparable from the dedication behind the team.
