This set of Pearl photos is actually the last batch of backlog from a previous studio portrait session that I hadn't had time to organize. Taking advantage of the weekend, I dug out the raw photos and selected a few. I realized that the cold-toned texture shot under the pure white European-style backdrop back then indeed perfectly fits the character's temperament. The costume as a whole utilizes a lot of white, ice blue, and light pink gradient splicing, which, combined with that black geometric collar and the blue diamond-shaped gemstone on the forehead, provides a strong sense of layering. Especially the draping fabric at the cuffs and skirt hem can naturally bring out a flowing dynamic effect when moving. During the shoot, I specifically chose several different postures, from sitting to standing still while holding props, and then to snapshots of lifting the flowing sleeves, hoping to showcase the multi-angle details of the outfit as much as possible. The lighting inside the studio was very evenly distributed without excessive post-processing filters, mainly relying on the on-site lighting setup to restore the pearlescent and sheer texture of the clothes for maximum costume accuracy. This outfit is quite complex in structure, especially that large bow and the detached flowing water sleeves. Putting it on, taking it off, and arranging it took a lot of time, but the photogenic effect was totally worth it. The character designs in this Honkai: Star Rail series have always been highly recognizable, and trying to recreate this elegant and cool style through Anime cosplay was a very satisfying experience. I hope this set of backlog photos can show everyone some different detail expressions.
