This shoot was set on an urban footbridge and pedestrian underpass in the afternoon; the real-scene lighting feels more breathable than a studio shoot. The combination of red twintails and a pink knit cardigan is very photogenic, and the pairing of over-the-knee socks and black platform boots gives the character look a more three-dimensional feel against the blue sky background. To capture Ukinami Yuzuha's personality and temperament in Zenless Zone Zero, we specially designed several poses with a street vibe—leaning against the footbridge railing with the umbrella blade drooping naturally, stepping on the purplish-red steps while opening the red-and-black gradient umbrella, and the moment of looking back at the camera in front of the crosswalk. The surface of the red-and-black umbrella prop was treated with watermarks and weathering, paired with a brown bear backpack and a choker. The overall styling carries the sharpness of a combat setting while retaining the character's lively traits. This set of photos attempts to integrate the 2D character into a real urban environment. With the yellow railings of the footbridge and the silhouettes of distant skyscrapers as the background, it infuses a unique soul into this Anime-style photography, creating a cool-and-warm contrast with the character's red and black color palette. Because the location is an open urban footbridge, carrying a subtle vibe reminiscent of a city Dreamcore park, the wind during the shoot allowed the skirt hem and hair tips to drift naturally, which can be considered an unexpected bonus of this outdoor cosplay session. While organizing this set of photos, I felt that placing the character in a real scene adds a bit more slice-of-life realism than a pure studio shoot.
