The subject of this shoot was Phrolova from Wuthering Waves. The outfit features abundant design details, primarily balancing red and black with generous ruffles and lace textures. The skirt hem consists of multiple irregular layers of crimson fabric that cast dynamic light and shadow gradients when walking. The upper bodice incorporates a plunging V-neckline combined with a black corset, visually sculpting a sharp, cinched silhouette.

For hair and makeup, the wig was styled in a pale teal tone featuring bangs and side braids. To reflect the character's detached gaze, I chose grey-green contact lenses. Eye makeup focused on deepening contours, drawing the eyeliner slightly downward to evoke a melancholic, innocent vulnerability. Lips were painted in deep crimson to harmonize with the overall red-and-black palette. The red rose choker served as a focal accent; positioning it accurately during poses was essential to anchor the frame.

The studio set incorporated black chains, a vintage gilded birdcage, and red roses as background elements, complemented by mechanical clock faces along the walls—all curated around the theme of 'waiting.' To emphasize this motif, a large clock dial and a half-open cage were framed in the foreground against magenta backlighting. Cool white frontal key light accentuated the satin sheen and lace embroidery of the dress, while subtle red fill light from the side brought dimension to the folds. Paired with lace-trimmed Black stockings, the styling beautifully contoured the leg lines through motion.

Two primary poses guided the session. The first was standing before the cage with one arm raised overhead and the other resting near the collarbone, visually elongating the torso while displaying the neckline. The second was leaning against the cage frame, resting a cheek on one hand with the other resting along the metal bars, casting a subtle glance toward the camera. Both poses utilized the structure of the corset to emphasize an upright, commanding posture.

Capturing the gaze proved the most challenging aspect: heavy red eyeshadow required careful control over eye openness to blend solitary detachment with quiet allure. Because the prop chains were thick, framing required mindfulness to prevent them from obscuring facial contours. I selected the first shot as the cover image; its centered composition highlights the fluid line from chest to legs, and the lighting across the face captures the intended atmosphere perfectly.
