Alice's Bunny girl cosplay look from Goddess of Victory: Nikke came together in a distinctive outdoor photoshoot session. A huge thank you to photographer Blue Sheep for his professional guidance, perfectly combining the character's lively nature with the outfit's visual impact.
First, let's talk about this pink Bunny girl outfit that many friends asked about. The main piece is a bright pink reflective high-cut bodysuit made of a fabric with a distinct glossy finish, creating clear highlights and shadow accents under side lighting. The high-cut silhouette, complemented by two white decorative stripes on the sides, elongates the limb proportions when posing. To ensure a snug fit, thin transparent shoulder straps were used, while the back features a low backless structure enhanced with a two-tier white neck collar and a pink bow knot at the neck to add layered dimension.
For headwear, I wore a pair of highly iconic large bunny ears supported by internal boning, made of pink-and-white patched fabric with diamond-shaped embellishments on the front. A fluffy white bunny tail attached to the back echoes the ears above. The hairstyle features long silver-white straight hair styled into twin tails with straight-cut bangs framing the face nicely. To make the look more lively, I added small orange carrot and strawberry hair clips to the twin tails and crown, along with a small accessory spelling out "ALICE"—all adding rich depth to the 2D character image.
For makeup, based on a fair foundation, the focus was placed on the eyes. Using blended pink eyeshadow and bright reddish-pink contact lenses gave the eyes an ethereal glow. The blush and lip color shared a matching berry tone with a dewy shine, leaning toward a jelly-like finish. During shooting, controlling expression tension was key—appearing curious and energetic without being overly dramatic. Thus, many shots feature slightly parted lips and a gently tilted head.
The outdoor recreation area set offered blue safety railings and red brick walls, with cityscapes faintly visible in the distance through the railings. The blue railings formed a striking complementary contrast with the pink outfit, making the character pop out of the frame. In the first front-facing shot, I lifted one leg back with a slight forward lean while making a peace sign—a composition that nicely captures youthful dynamism. The second posture turned around for a glance back over the shoulder to display the back cutouts, especially the bunny tail at the lower back and the side waist curves, taking advantage of focal length shifts between wide and medium-telephoto lenses to bring out the fun of the original shot.
What stood out most during this session was how the reflective material responded to natural light. Facing strong directional light sources produced large mirror-like reflections on the fabric. Blue Sheep was very mindful when metering, utilizing soft reflected light or side lighting to avoid overexposure. Meanwhile, environmental reflections were harnessed to make the skin texture look naturally glowing and even.
Shooting outdoors under the sun in a skin-tight latex-feel bodysuit and heavy wig was a true test of endurance. To keep hair from sticking to my neck due to sweat, I constantly fluffed it during breaks while watching out for the wind flipping my bangs. The white neck collar and bow tie also needed frequent adjustment to avoid slipping out of alignment when turning around. Additionally, while the chunky platform slippers enhanced the cute fluffy aesthetic, walking across brick and stone pavement required extra caution.
Portraying Alice is all about capturing her unpolished innocence. I avoided forced or artificial poses; even with a standard peace sign gesture, micro-adjustments like tucking the chin or turning slightly kept the image looking dynamic. The bokeh light spots in the background and the extending blue railings framed the character's highlights nicely.
Preparing outfits with complex headpieces and special fabrics always takes time beforehand—from securing hair clips to organizing garments. But seeing these final vibrant, high-contrast photos makes all those tedious tweaks worthwhile. I hope these photos captured amid the play of light and shadow convey Alice's playful nature in its purest form. The entire creative process was delightful, especially in integrating with the scene and conveying emotion through seamless interaction.
