This shoot features Furina's Letter from the Deep Sea theme. The most attractive part of the entire costume design for me is that wide black top hat. The pearls and lace details along the edge are very exquisite, and paired with the blue and white gradient short hair, it looks visually refreshing. The diamond-shaped gems on the gloves and the blue patchwork on the dress have a faint luster under the lights, so we intentionally used soft light during the shoot to highlight that water-ripple-like texture.
The scene setup used a large number of blue and white roses and transparent bubbles. To simulate the watery mist of the deep sea, some floating ribbons and white feathers were also added to give the frame more layers. The harp pose in the second photo actually required a lot of angle adjustments because we needed to prevent the reflections from the harp strings from ruining the facial contours. In the end, I chose a focused expression with half-dropped eyelids, which fits the character's elegant yet slightly mysterious temperament quite well.
The few shots holding snowflakes and crystal balls had the highest requirements for light reflection. The photographer controlled the highlights very precisely, preventing the glass props from stealing the focus from the character. The lining of this costume and the bow on the chest both have subtle pleats, so I had to constantly pay attention to the neatness of the clothing when posing to avoid any wardrobe malfunctions. The overall shooting process was very enjoyable, and the atmosphere was perfectly captured for this Blue theme cosplay.
