[Firtho Cosplay] The cold doctor in Silver Palace

Getting straight to the point, I can finally share these convention photos of Firtho from Silver Palace with everyone. Because the design elements of this costume are quite unique—especially the vast array of silver medical shears accessory shapes and that massive composite weapon—the vast majority of preparation energy was focused on prop fabrication and costume replication. The fabric choice for the white lapel coat determined its crisp structure; the inner burgundy high-neck crop top and dark blue fitted mini-skirt created a strong color contrast, which, paired with over-the-knee red-and-black spliced stockings, preserved the medical solemnity of the character setting while adding a sense of combat sharpness.

When shooting on site, the biggest challenge was how to frame that giant weapon. This weapon not only features complex silver-gray mechanical structures, but also large areas of red blades, requiring considerable physical strength to hold. However, the moment I picked up the prop, the character's aura instantly came through. To capture the crispest moments, the photographer specifically selected a cool blue-and-white light environment at Firefly ACG Expo, which, combined with twinkling bokeh spots, perfectly enhanced this cold and dangerous atmosphere.

The phrase "Physicians cannot heal themselves" is truly the core label of this character; as a calm-looking doctor, the combination of weapons and medical tools brings immense visual contrast. In terms of makeup, I focused on enhancing eye contours, using amber contact lenses and reddish-brown eyeshadow to deepen the gaze's intensity, paired with cool lip makeup to visually convey the character's professionalism and detachment. Since this coat is pure white, walking around in crowded convention environments easily picks up dust or stray colors, so the entire shoot was conducted with careful maintenance, taking it off and putting it back on several times to keep the outfit clean. Fortunately, the final result was very ideal, making running around the venue for hours in this somewhat heavy gear completely worth it.

The silver metal shears charms carried this time had many details, distributed across the waist, shoulders, and weapon structures, adding complexity and a mechanical feel to the overall look. During post-production adjustments, considering the sci-fi setting colors of Silver Palace itself, we fine-tuned the color tone toward cool shades, making the white coat look even colder in dim light. Although these were snapshots from the convention, the body tension, fabric folds, and metallic reflections of the props were well presented. Black leather gloves were a crucial element, enhancing the overall combat feel while giving hands a more powerful presence when holding the giant shears weapon. I deliberately adjusted my finger grip during shooting to present the character's crisp, efficient operational state.

Although this outfit cinched at the waist to highlight body proportions nicely, maintaining balance and posture elegance while bearing the huge weapon was indeed a challenge. Additionally, the atmosphere at Firefly ACG Expo was fantastic, with many fellow enthusiasts sharing their works, making 2D culture energy feel concrete in that moment. As an ordinary enthusiast who loves doing cosplay, being able to integrate my understanding and ideas into this Firtho look from Silver Palace was a great joy in itself. I don't pursue 100% perfection, but strive to leave a vivid side of this character in front of the lens, hoping these photos allow everyone to feel the unique charm of this doctor in a white coat holding sharp blades.
