[Keqing Cosplay] "With sword comes shadow!" The Exquisite Details of Opulent Splendor - Image 2

"With sword comes shadow!" As soon as this classic line is uttered, Keqing's slightly tsundere yet completely authoritative image instantly becomes vivid. This photoshoot of the "Opulent Splendor" version adds a lot of elegance and agility on top of her original sharp efficiency. Therefore, during the shoot, I also specially adjusted my state, wanting to present her side that possesses both majesty and teenage girl charm.

Let's talk about the details of this costume first. The large area of black off-the-shoulder design on the upper body combined with ultra-thin transparent straps heavily tests the fit of the shoulder and neck lines; the pull on the skeletal frame is quite noticeable when worn, but to restore a lightweight visual effect, this tailoring is highly worth it. Connected to both sides are translucent black tulle sleeves; we used a small fan to blow them during the shoot, which, combined with the fabric's great drape, indeed built up an ethereal atmosphere. The black flower knot at the waist and the color transition of the skirt hem are highly critical. The blue skirt hem utilizes a crisp fabric with a pearlescent sheen, tailored into layers of feather shapes, with each edge embellished with small white pearls. The layers of the skirt hem are highly rich when walking around, and that golden metallic buckle beautiful breaks the dullness of the large black and blue color blocks, increasing the refinement of the entire outfit.

The styling of the head was one of the key focus areas this time. For the iconic purple twin-bun hairstyle with long hair, because we utilized a two-tone spliced wig material, the color transition looks very natural when lighting hits it. To prevent the buns from collapsing, I placed support structures inside, while the long hair strands on both sides were intentionally curled into wide arcs; this way, when coordinating with the black bow hair accessories, it both props up the rigidity of the hair decorations on both sides and guarantees the three-dimensional feel of the overall hairstyle.

In terms of props, although this weapon is a special prop for shooting, its painting process is very well-done. The pink blade edge, black sword body base, and golden openwork handguard create a highly sharp color contrast, and holding it in hand to strike high-tension poses can indeed make one instantly reclaim the character's powerful aura.

Regarding the set design, a large amount of purple-toned gauze drapes was selected as the main background this time, combined with bamboo-woven paper lanterns and faux cherry blossom branches. This deep purple ambient light makes the blue dress stand out even more, while making the figure's skin tone appear more translucent. For lighting, we didn't use an overly bright flat light, but combined a cooler ambient light with a softbox in front, keeping the face soft and clean while clearly capturing the details of the gaze and eye makeup (especially the pairing of false eyelashes and light-colored contact lenses) into the lens.

The two postures each have distinct characteristics. From the presentation of composition and expression, the kneeling pose has relatively more power and concentration, beautifully showcasing weapon details and upper body lines; meanwhile, the standing pose can better reflect the extension of the lower half's skirt hem and legs. During the shoot, I did my best to keep my gaze agile to balance the character's heroism and sweetness. Although the shooting process for this Opulent Splendor set was very tiring due to back-to-back schedules, seeing the fabric texture of the costume and the restoration of the look after the photos came out made all the hard work completely worth it. That's all to share for now, it was a highly joyful shoot experience for Genshin Impact Keqing.
