This Columbina Cosplay photoshoot in the sea of flowers at night turned out surprisingly well, with the overall atmosphere controlled just right. Originally, we planned to shoot a scene more geared towards an everyday look, but upon arriving at the location, we found that this purple sea of flowers paired with the pure black night sky was instead more suitable for an anime girl character carrying such a mysterious dreamscape quality.

The shooting costume chosen was a jacket and tulle skirt mainly in blue and white tones, paired with black and pink dual-colored hair ends, which is Columbina's most visually recognizable feature. To restore the dynamic feel of the white feathered wing headpiece on the head, lightweight materials were selected; however, the weight distribution on the head was still noticeable at night, requiring constant adjustments to its positioning after large movements. The lace-up accessories on the arms have many details and required some care to arrange during wearing to avoid looking messy on camera.

When communicating with the photographer about night photography, we decided to adopt the concept of using a strong flash to darken the ambient light, crushing the background into pure black so that the sea of flowers as the foreground could naturally pop out of the frame. In post-production, special attention was paid to the texture of the costume's lightweight fabric and detached sleeves when handling highlights, avoiding overexposure from the flash that would cause a loss of original texture details, while adding a few white magical light spots to match the character's inherent mysterious and divine temperament.

Body control during the shoot was very important because the character is calm and introverted most of the time. Therefore, I intentionally attempted a static posture with eyes closed and slightly tilted up, with hands gently resting on my chest, which better fits her gentle yet slightly detached personality in the work. As for those two candid shots standing with arms slightly open, they were mainly to showcase the flowing movement of the blue and white tulle skirt in the night wind. In post-production, a few scattered starlights were carefully distributed to make the entire frame look like a beautiful blessing descending from the depths of the forest. The entire process was actually quite a test of physical stamina, but the deserted sea of flowers at midnight and the blooming flowers before my eyes, paired with the cool night breeze, truly made it easy to get into character, completely immersing myself in the creative atmosphere of this cosplay photoshoot.
