Bringing you this classic coordinate of Yoimiya! From material selection to final crafting, every single detail on the outfit went through meticulous comparison. For the orange haori outer layer, I chose a fabric that carries a slight drape without feeling heavy. The white bandage-style inner bandeau was adjusted multiple times to ensure it hugged my curves snugly while faithfully recreating the layered visual depth from the game. The waist ornaments, cord knots, and metallic fasteners were all hand-stitched and assembled piece by piece, ensuring they hold up beautifully even under close-up shots.
Styling the wig proved to be quite a challenge. This golden-orange short wig required brow-skimming straight bangs, with the side locks hand-pinched using hair styling wax to create that natural, perky outward flare that flatters face contours while looking full of youthful energy. For the animal ear-like hair structure on top, I built an inner wire armature to guarantee it wouldn't collapse no matter how I moved. The cunning little red mask ornament and ribbon bow were carefully edge-sanded so wearing them felt lightweight and comfortable.
For makeup, the spotlight was definitely on the eyes. To channel Yoimiya's vibrant, clever gaze, I specifically chose amber circle lenses. The eyeliner was gently flicked upward at the outer corners and paired with well-defined, fluttery lashes to evoke that playful spark whenever I smile. The red tattoo motifs across my chest and upper arm were hand-painted with waterproof body paint and locked down with setting spray to prevent sweat from smudging them during the shoot.
As for the props, the white fox mask with red patterns held in my hand demanded immense effort. The painted motifs weren't just flatly filled in; they were given subtle gradient shading and vintage weathering to enhance tactile depth. The blue fabric pouch was also patterned and sewn from scratch, using silk embroidery threads to make the patterns pop with a three-dimensional touch.
During the shoot, to stay true to Yoimiya's lore, we captured frames across both outdoor flora settings and an indoor Japanese tatami room. Sitting on the grass, poses could be much more expressive—flashing double peace signs or holding flower stems while looking into the lens to showcase her carefree, free-spirited nature. Moving indoors, leaning casually against the low table or partially veiling my face behind the fox mask with a subtly teasing glance brought out that warm, older-sisterly charisma Yoimiya often displays. Since the theme is 'Hero Form' Yoimiya, resolute confidence in the eyes was non-negotiable—with every shutter click, I reminded myself to project empowering strength. While the preparation was demanding, seeing the final photos made every bit of effort worthwhile. I hope this set passes on that pure, radiant joy of Yoimiya to everyone.
