[Chang'e cosplay] Honor of Kings Fairy of Guanghan Palace, a blend of cool etherealness and sexiness

This time, Chang'e's styling from Honor of Kings put a lot of effort into the costume details. The layering of the clothes is very strong, with the outer blue satin and inner white tulle overlapping, creating a light draping feel when walking. The most time-consuming part was actually wearing those metal accessories, from the golden choker on the neck to the armlets on the arms, and the golden tassels on the skirt hem—all solid metal pieces. They required an assistant's help to fix piece by piece during wear. Although not light in weight, the texture in front of the lens is truly excellent. The skirt features a high-slit design, which happens to reveal the leg lines when sitting down, breaking the airtight dullness of traditional ancient-style costumes.

The wig chosen was a silver-white long straight hair, with a complex updo styling on the top of the head, matched with many golden flowers and tassel hairpins. Because the hair accessories themselves have some weight, it took a large number of hairpins to secure them firmly on the head. In terms of makeup, the focus was placed on the eye makeup, using pinkish-purple contact lenses, paired with pinkish eyeshadow blending and lower eyelid brightening, trying to create a feeling of cool detachment mixed with a hint of innocence. The prop held in hand is a blue translucent flower ball with built-in light strips, which can emit a soft blue light in dark environments, making it the visual focal point of the frame.

A lot of thought was put into scene construction to restore the atmosphere of the Moon Palace. A huge glowing moon backdrop paired with a dark blue starry sky curtain, with the foreground decorated with rough dark dead wood trunks and white artificial flowers, and white lanterns hanging from the tree branches. When lighting, the main light source illuminates the face from the front-side, and the backlight is used to outline the edges of the silver hair and transparent tulle skirt. Because of sitting on uneven dead wood, it was necessary to constantly adjust the body's center of gravity while maintaining the spreading arc of the skirt hem. The placement of the legs also went through multiple adjustments, aiming to both showcase an ethereal vibe and utilize the high-slit skirt hem and the golden anklets on the ankles to find an appropriate balance between sexiness and aesthetic beauty.

During the shooting process, it was necessary to balance props, skirt hem, and poses, which is actually a great test of core strength. To make the blue tulle skirt have a floating effect, a fan was also needed on the side to assist with blowing wind. The overall outcome met expectations, blending Chang'e's cool etherealness with a hint of sexy elements. This is a brand new attempt at a different style, and I hope to showcase a richer aesthetic beauty of the character in front of the lens.
