[Komeiji Koishi cosplay] Rose Dreamland Convention photos at Wenzhou THO

The Wenzhou THO02 Convention photos are finally out, featuring Komeiji Koishi cosplay this time. A lot of effort went into preparing the entire costume, especially the dark green gold-trimmed collar pieced with black ruffles, and the purple orb on the chest—I went through three versions before finding accessories with the right texture and luster. The wig is light blue-green wavy hair with trimmed thick bangs, paired with a small black top hat decorated with tri-colored flowers; I'm personally quite satisfied with the overall accuracy. The rose wall backdrop on the day of the shoot was exceptionally suited for this character, with soft pink and cream synthetic roses stacked to create a dreamy atmosphere. The photographer's lighting was soft, bringing out the layered depth of the subtle patterns on the fabric. However, wearing wide sleeves and layered skirts really tested my mobility, especially when sitting on the floor, where I had to adjust the arrangement of the black ruffles to achieve a natural effect. I specifically shot two closed-eye angles and one looking up, wanting to convey different emotional states. Honestly, the atmosphere at Touhou Project only conventions is always fantastic and everyone is super warm; after finishing this set, I even went around browsing other booths. My photography partner for this shoot really knew how to capture the character's essence, and the post-processing didn't over-smooth the skin, preserving a realistic texture. Having done cosplay for so long, I feel more and more that connecting with fellow fans at conventions is the biggest motivation. The venue at Wenzhou THO was spacious with light distribution well-suited for Cosplay photography. I tried my best to blend the character's intrinsic quietness and mystery into these photos; although the color contrast between the rose wall and the outfit was quite rich, I still wanted the overall tone to evoke a soft, fairytale feel. This outfit has many accessories, including the extending vines on the head, which had to be adjusted multiple times during the shoot to avoid awkward overlapping. Overall, it was a very enjoyable shoot, and every step from costume making to posing on site was worth recording.
