This photography project is a Cosplay photoshoot of Cinderella from GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE. The overarching costume design fuses a Maid outfit concept with classical western dress styling, built upon a primary color foundation of icy blue and pure white, interwoven with crisp black lines for structural contouring. The bodice features a light blue structured corset with crisscrossing black lace-up cords along the front, integrated with an expansive sheer mesh panel over the chest to introduce breathable lightness. The sleeves are translucent white tulle puff sleeves, cinched at the waist by a white ruffled apron embellished with a gilded picture frame accent. For headwear, a monochrome black-and-white lace headband was chosen to pair with high, silver-gray twintails; to maintain their airy volume, extensive backcombing and strong-hold styling spray were applied before shooting.
For makeup, matching her 2D character traits, crimson colored contacts were paired with eye makeup emphasizing the aegyo sal and an elongated lower lash line, swept with a generous wash of pink blush to boost a healthy complexion, while the lips were finished with pale pink lip glaze—bringing out an innocent, adorable demeanor.
Substantial thought went into set dressing. The backdrop featured white archways, Roman pillars, and sheer white drapes, organically framed by an abundance of icy blue floral arrangements. The floor was laid with highly reflective mirrored tiles that crisply mirrored the billowing skirt and leg contours. Lighting utilized side-backlighting paired with softboxes, primarily aimed at rendering porcelain, translucent skin tones, while incorporating the warm glow of silver candelabras and golden lighting fixtures to form a complementary chromatic contrast against the cool-toned environment.
Regarding pose design, I deliberately incorporated gestures like lifting the hemline, resting a hand gently against the chest, and sitting serenely among the flowers, striving to endow the frames with an airy sense of motion. Because the outer skirt consists of sheer, light blue tulle, achieving natural, graceful draping required repeatedly fanning out the fabric angles between shots. To flatter proportions, White stockings were paired with chunky black high-heeled pumps, visually elongating leg lines while echoing the black-and-white accessories across the outfit.
The most prominent challenge during this shoot was that while the mirrored floor looks stunning on camera, it picks up footprints exceptionally easily—requiring us to wipe down the glass after nearly every single pose, which somewhat affected the shooting pace. Furthermore, because of the sheer tulle on the chest, irregular glares and reflections often appeared under studio strobes; dialing in the light angles to eliminate unwanted flares took considerable time. To convey the character's delicate grace, I avoided overly wide, dynamic motions, relying instead on focused eye expressions and subtle angles of the limbs. I hope everyone can feel the exquisite craftsmanship poured into this styling.
