[Sangonomiya Kokomi cosplay] Blue-purple gradient tulle dress paired with white stockings, modified shoe accessories full of details

This maid-style outfit for Sangonomiya Kokomi is finally put together. The overall color is mainly a blue-purple gradient. The outer layer of organza and the lightweight tulle of the skirt present a very transparent visual effect under indoor lighting, and the transition between dark blue and purple is very natural without looking dull. To match this outfit, I chose long pink curly hair. The huge pink bow on top of the head is the visual center of the entire look, and the drape of the pearl chain just helps shape the head and adds a bit of gorgeousness.

The details of the clothing are very much worth discussing. The white lace on the chest and the ruffles on the cuffs add a sense of layers, and the sleeves use translucent sheer fabric, which can reveal the texture of the skin without looking too heavy. The side slit design of the skirt hem keeps the overall look from being too rigid, and the hanging long purple ribbons create a great dynamic effect when moving. Because the outfit has a lot of tulle material, special care must be taken to avoid snagging when wearing it, and it should be hung separately when storing.

For the shoe accessories, I changed the way of wearing them. The original fixing method was a bit insecure for this kind of strap design, so I changed it to directly tying a large blue bow around the ankle, with a pearl inlaid in the middle of each bow. This is not only more secure, but also better highlights the leg lines when paired with white stockings. I apologize for this adjustment in wear, but it was indeed considered for the wearing effect and comfort, and it's also a personal experience figured out from actual wear.

The shooting was chosen in a white corner, using the wall and a plush rug to create a simple background, with a white office chair as a shooting prop. Because the reflection of the clothing is relatively strong, I adjusted the front light source to be softer to avoid overexposure of the tulle fabric, and the lighting mainly focused on the sides to make the blue-purple gradient more three-dimensional. Since it's a normal cosplay showcase, I didn't choose an outdoor location and directly took mirror selfies indoors. The cartoon sticker in P2 and the heart shape in P1 are just to cover a pillow in front of the body, with no exposure of privacy at all, so everyone don't need to worry.

The colors of this set are really beautiful. The transition of dark blue and purple doesn't look too dull, but rather more vibrant due to the addition of pink hair and white stockings. Combining maid elements with the original design costume is a huge challenge, especially the combination of accessories and wearing methods which take a lot of time. Especially clothes of this material are prone to wrinkles, and I spent a lot of time ironing them before wearing. Although the preliminary preparation is tedious, seeing the effect of the final photos makes everything feel worth it. A normal cosplay showcase allows me to focus more on the tailoring and color matching of the costume itself, restoring the atmosphere of the character rather than just pursuing superficial gorgeousness. Taking mirror selfies indoors actually has techniques too; holding the phone slightly higher can make proportions look better, and at the same time pay attention to the reflection on the mirror to avoid messy objects entering the frame. Overall, I am very satisfied with the effect presented by this styling, whether it is the color collision or the material choice, it has reached my expected goal.
