[Cinderella cosplay] Goddess of Victory: Nikke, Cool Ethereal Charm and Detail-Packed Outfit

This shoot features Cinderella cosplay from Goddess of Victory: Nikke. From the moment I decided on this character, the most headache-inducing part was this silver-white wig and the heavy-metallic crown atop my head. To recreate the character's cool essence, the wig was chosen with ice-blue highlights over silver-white material, trimmed into layers, puffed up into shape, and styled with wax to hold the Silver-haired twin tails' curve. The crown was actually quite heavy, requiring double fixation with hairpins and hot glue to stay securely on my head. To avoid looking stiff, pale blue semi-transparent ribbon bows were tied on both sides, complemented by scattered snowflake and starburst clips along the sides, making the entire head styling look more three-dimensional and full.

A lot of effort went into the makeup design as well. To fit the character's aura, the base makeup aimed to be clean and translucent without using heavy foundation to cover the natural skin texture. For the eyes, ice-blue lenses were paired with soft pink shading around the eye area to create an innocent and ethereal gaze. The most unique detail was a stroke of white eyeliner drawn horizontally above one brow ridge—this detail heavily tested hand stability during application, as a tiny deviation would look jarring. Lip makeup relied on a hydrating brick-red tone, which raised color energy without overwhelming the eyes; paired with maiden-like blush on the cheeks, it offered a youthful effect while keeping a strong presence.

For the outfit, I picked an ice-blue sheer puffy Ethereal dress. The upper body features thin white shoulder straps exposing neck and shoulder contours, while delicate sheer tulle and lace embellish the collarbone and shoulders for a clear, layered look. A dark grey-blue corset with metal eyelets cinches the waist to beautifully frame body proportions. The skirt design is clever—a multi-layered sheer mesh spliced with a high-low hem made of lightweight organza-like fabric that flows dynamically when walking. Safety shorts were worn underneath, but the biggest surprise was the white leg garter tied around my right thigh, adding a unique character detail to the Leg garter outfit that stays alluring without crossing into vulgarness. On my feet were silver-white pointed high heels whose glitter and rhinestone decorations shone brightly under studio lights, elongating leg lines and standing tall.

During the shoot, we recreated two scenario sets. One focused on close-ups and half-body shots using sheer white drapes and golden candlesticks in the background, letting light pass through thin veils onto my face to evoke a hazy, gentle dreaminess. This lighting setup tested light angles heavily; I asked the lighting technician to set the main light as a side-backlight, framing the crown and hair edges in a lovely rim light that made the silver wig sparkle like a galaxy. The other set was a full-body mirror selfie recording the live restoration process. While people usually see clean, polished final photos, studios often look like this in reality. Photo 2 shows the real venue in the mirror—a large black ring light beside me, surrounded by storage racks, pet crates, paper wads, and balloons on the floor. Stepping on wooden floorboards felt fun because while it looked like a cold studio from outside, entering the frame unlocked another dreamworld.

Mid-shoot, I constantly had to watch out for cables on the floor tripping my skirt, not daring to make huge movements, which helped capture many static, elegant postures. Because the crown was heavy and the shoes had heels, maintaining an upright posture throughout the shoot consumed significant physical energy, leaving my neck and scalp somewhat sore toward the end. However, all hardship dissolved upon seeing the light and shadow in the final shots. The surrounding decor and lighting were created with so much heart, making the creative process feel joyful and professional. My sense of participation was very strong this time—from outfit preparation to on-site makeup coordination, giving me a more intuitive feel for the character.
