[Yuni Cosplay] Goddess of Victory: Nikke Tactical Style White Studio Photoshoot

Before heading to the studio shoot, I was actually a bit anxious. After all, Yuni's character setting in Goddess of Victory: Nikke is very special. Her Tactical style support vibe—seemingly inconspicuous yet always ready to handle sudden emergencies—demands very high standards for poses and facial expressions to fully express before the camera. This time, I chose a pure White studio for the shoot. On one hand, I wanted to use the clean visual of a pure white background to highlight the character's high-saturation attire. On the other hand, I also wanted to try pure top light and side light to see if we could stereoscopically present all the fine hair details along the edge of the wig and the reflective texture of the patent leather material.

Today's outfit was finalized after preparing for a long time on my own. The base is a white lapel shirt, paired with a bright red necktie and a red bow on the side of the head. This red-and-white color scheme has a very clear visual focus, firmly grabbing attention. The outer layer of black leather tactical harness and belt is the finishing touch, and paired with shiny black leather shorts and matching fingerless gloves, the overall look radiates a cool and sharp crispness amidst its neatness. Yuni's weapon leans toward support, but I prefer interpreting her with confidence and control, so I specifically brought this black rope whip prop. Striking this one-knee-kneeling pose in the studio, with one hand supporting on the floor and the other pulling the whip tight, I truly felt immersed in the apocalyptic battlefield atmosphere at that moment.

During the shooting process, the moment that delivered the best effect wasn't intentional posing, but rather the instant the wig blew across the side of my face in the wind. Because the air conditioning in the studio was turned up pretty high and the photographer captured dynamic motion, the long pink hair floated elegantly over my shoulders. The patent leather shorts naturally formed beautiful highlights under the studio lighting. I feel that to perform a 2D character well, it's not just about putting on the clothes and wearing the wig, but whether you can transform those props into a part of your body. When you hold the whip with both hands and gaze directly at the camera ahead, that confident aura cannot be hidden.

This shoot in a White studio gave me many new experiences. Without complex background elements interfering, all attention was concentrated on the character's expressions and movements. Furthermore, a white background offers extremely high tolerance for post-production color grading, eliminating the need to spend too much effort cropping or patching the background, which allowed me to better inspect makeup and wig styling details instead. Although Yuni might not seem as flamboyant as heavily armored characters unleashing full firepower, her spirit of quietly guarding her post and providing thorough support for the team is deeply moving. Facing the Commander's orders, she is always efficient and earnest.

We took many photos during this shoot, but after much filtering, I still felt this candid shot of kneeling on one knee while holding the whip possessed the greatest tension. Although the whip in hand might not represent aggressiveness in her lore setting, in this composition, combined with my slightly raised corner of the mouth and firm gaze, it ultimately lived up to the \"take a whip from me!\" meme I brought along. I've cosplayed many characters before that required complex emotions, but for a girl like Yuni who is quiet on the surface yet firm at heart, expressing that sense of focus earns great recognition from the photographer.
