The final photos from this Hatsune Miku Rabbit Hole nurse cosplay shoot have finally been sorted out and selected for a summary. When I first got this outfit, I felt that the white nurse uniform paired with the light blue twin-tail wig would create a very refreshing and clean visual collision, so I immediately conceptualized several shooting plans.

The preparation on the day of the shoot was actually more tedious than imagined. Just adjusting the wig's front bangs and that white nurse hat with a pink cross took a lot of time. The nurse hat needs to be worn securely, otherwise it easily tilts when the movement amplitude is large. The black cross hair accessory in front of the forehead is the absolute visual symbol of this look; although small, it anchors the visual center of gravity perfectly against the overall light-toned backdrop. The outfit is a classic short-sleeved white nurse dress, with a few pink buttons lined up from the neckline to the front placket, adding a playful detail to the large area of white. The gloves selected were pure white and short, which not only fits the cleanliness of the nurse occupation setting but also looks clean and sharp when holding props.

In terms of props, we prepared a black clipboard with a clip and a purple prop that looked like a syringe or a pen. These small props truly helped me get into the character state quickly during the actual shoot. For instance, the focused gaze when holding the clipboard to pretend to record medical orders, or the slightly scrutinizing look while holding the syringe, both enriched the narrative and playfulness of the frames.

The shooting venue was selected in an indoor bedroom with very soft light for this Qingdao photoshoot. Featuring a large area of soft, fluffy white sheets and pillows, the off-white walls were practically a natural reflector. What we wanted to convey was a picture atmosphere that carries both professional attributes and a bit of domestic laziness; the identity of a nurse is no longer serious here, but rather filled with the flavor of daily life.

Regarding the posing attempts, we shot several different plans. There were relatively dignified kneeling poses, casual side-lying, and chin-resting actions while propped up on the bed. Special mention goes to those few close-ups where I was lying flat on my back on the bed with my legs placed straight up against the wall. This angle actually tested my body coordination and the photographer's composition heavily. At that time, I not only had to maintain the smooth lines of keeping my legs together with toes pointed straight, but I also had to mind the hem of the nurse skirt and the posture at the knees. The dark stockings beautifully framed the leg contours under the warm-toned lighting, adding a comfortable color transition to the frame. The color relationships among black, white, and gray felt very pleasant under that soft light.

During post-production editing, we intentionally preserved the texture of the indoor natural light, focusing optimization on the transparency of the character's face and the light and shadow details on the white dress. The off-white walls and sheets in the environment formed a soft background; we didn't do excessive background blurring, instead trying our best to maintain a clear sense of layering among the character, props, and bedding. This allows viewers to better immerse themselves in the scene details of the nurse uniform.

Thinking back to the behind-the-scenes moments of that shooting day, I really spent the whole day wrestling with that big bed. Because I had to switch between different looks back and forth on the sheets, every single adjustment required rearranging the skirt hem, wig, and gloves all over again, while also minding the edges of the frame to make sure no room clutter slipped into the shot. When executing large movements while wearing the white short-sleeved dress, I also had to pay attention to the buttons and the smoothness of the garment. Especially while wearing stockings and posing on the soft surface of the bed, it was very easy to slip, so I could only rely on the strength of my core abdomen to find a stable center of gravity. Fortunately, the light that day was indeed very comfortable—a cloudy, overcast day where the diffuse light hit the skin to make the skin tone look incredibly soft, saving us from some post-processing treatments for uneven skin tones.

Utilizing the theme of this Hatsune Miku Rabbit Hole nurse uniform, I tried to express the character's quiet and somewhat mysterious temperament. The clipboard and syringe in hand, along with the white coat and nurse hat on my body, can all be considered a concretization of character symbols. This was a highly enjoyable Qingdao photoshoot experience. Whether it was the makeup/styling, props, or the environmental atmosphere, we did our best to make meticulous pairings. This set of photos is my concrete understanding of this nurse styling, and I hope everyone can feel that peaceful sense of atmosphere in the frames.
