[Hatsune Miku cosplay] Blue and white styling with bunny ears and twintails - Image 1

I've been writing my thesis throughout the National Day holiday, so I can only post backlog photos. This set of pictures was actually shot a while ago; taking advantage of organizing files today, I decided to release this Hatsune Miku cosplay set. Back then, to fit this styling, I put a lot of thought into grooming the wig. The bright cyan ultra-long twintails needed to keep a fluffy feel, with the hair roots lifted up, the ends looking smooth rather than frizzy, and the bangs trimmed just right to frame the face shape. Using setting spray and hair wax together, I finally achieved that lightweight 2D feel. The bunny ears headband on top of the head is plush material, with dark blue diamond patterns inside, and black bows with golden edges tied on both sides. Black long ponytail fixing clips also needed to be attached to the wig to ensure it wouldn't slip or reveal anything even during wide actions. The makeup part chose a more 2D-leaning style, wearing bright blue contact lenses to enlarge the eye proportion. Both eyeliner and eyelashes received enhanced treatment, and earth-toned eyeshadow was used as a base to make the eyes look as deep as possible. The blush on the cheeks was applied quite heavily so that during cold-toned studio shooting, the face wouldn't look lacking in complexion due to the blue background. Light pink lip gloss was chosen for the lips to maintain an overall fresh feeling. The clothing part is a white shirt paired with a black vest, with a light blue multi-layered bow on the chest and white ruffles at the collar. The vest features golden buttons and connects to black suspenders at the back. The lower body is a light blue pleated skirt with white lace decoration along the hem. The legs wear blue-and-white striped stockings, with white ruffles and black bows at the openings, paired with black platform shoes. A black leg ring was added to the left leg to give a bit of asymmetrical detail to the overall styling. The red-and-white candy cane prop in hand was made by myself using lightweight materials, painted red and white on the surface; it is very light to hold and doesn't feel tiring when posing. The studio lighting on the day of the shoot mainly used cold light, and the background was pure blue seamless paper, which echoes the cyan hair in color. In terms of pose design, I tried half-squat and upward-pointing gestures, hoping to make the picture look a bit more vibrant and not too rigid. I also tried several standing and side-profile angles to facilitate picking expressions with different feelings later. Actually, the most enjoyable part of doing cosplay every time is the process of preparing from scratch, from organizing the details of clothing and props to adapting makeup and wigs—every step is very interesting. Although the National Day holiday tortured me enough with the thesis, typing away at the computer every day, looking back at these photos still puts me in a pretty good mood. I'm quite satisfied with the details of the eye makeup and hairstyle this time, and if I have time later, I might record another sharing session about wig grooming and prop making. I hope this backlog can bring everyone a bit of freshness.
