On October 6, 2019, I completed this Tushan Susu cosplay session in Zhengding Ancient Town, Shijiazhuang, Hebei. Flipping through these photos today, every behind-the-scenes memory remains fresh and deeply treasured.
With its red walls, glazed tiles, and eaves of historical temples, Zhengding Ancient Town offered an ideal backdrop for the Eastern fantasy aesthetics of Fox Spirit Matchmaker. Arriving in front of Guanghui Temple under mild October skies, I set up the look: light golden-orange hair with blunt bangs, her signature ahoge cowlick, fuzzy beast ears, a layered pink shawl, pastel purple flared sleeves, and a broad crimson sash that fluttered in the breeze.
Shooting moved from serene praying poses before temple gates to framing face close-ups through lush foliage. We then hopped onto a canopy sightseeing cart hung with Chinese red lanterns—reaching out to brush the tassels or gesturing forward brought out Tushan Susu's lively innocence. Finally, seated in a pavilion with one knee drawn up and fingers lightly tapping my chin, the photographer seized her spirited charm. To Wang Yimeng as a cosplayer, stepping into such a heartfelt Cosplay photoshoot remains a cherished milestone of personal artistic growth.
