[Phoebe Cosplay] Holy Mage in Wuthering Waves, Unlocking the Black and White Chair Shoot Experience

An outfit interwoven with pure white and ice blue, complemented by a wide-brimmed sun hat and a long staff topped with a bird design—today, I completed shooting this character in the studio.

This shoot required very strict control over the atmosphere. The scene was specially decorated with a black Baroque-style carved chair, creating a powerful visual contrast between its deep black and the bright white-and-blue tones of the outfit. The neighboring golden birdcage and scattered white and blue flowers added a fairy-tale and mysterious aura that fits the character closely.

Regarding costume details, the craftsmanship of this look is very refined. The black high-neck inner lining with gold trim creates a nice sense of layering against the white outer coat. The blue ribbon draped across the chest features exquisite embroidery and tassel decorations, creating a wonderful dynamic aesthetic as I move or when the wind blows my hair. The wig was also specifically styled into shiny, fluffy long blonde hair, which displays an ethereal texture under the light and shadow.

In terms of prop interaction, a heavy black book with gold patterns and that long bird staff were prepared. The shaft of the staff is matte black and lightweight, making it easy to hold while posing for various spellcasting or pre-casting gestures.

Regarding the shoes and white thigh-highs outfit that everyone often pays attention to during shoots, this look was specially paired with white stockings and white ankle boots, which feature blue ribbon bow decorations at the ankles. Honestly, when shooting characters with somewhat heavy footwear, mastering your body's center of gravity becomes even more essential, especially when standing on prop rocks or the edge of a chair—balance is key. The photographer specifically instructed me to keep my movements open and graceful so that my overall body lines look elegant.

The lighting for the entire set mainly used high-key soft flat light to create a hazy, mist-like atmosphere. Blue silk draped down from the background, which, combined with post-processing fog effects, gave the final photos an ethereal, celestial quality. Since the set had many decorative elements, positioning required avoiding a cluttered composition while ensuring the main character stood out completely.

This outfit tested my expressiveness quite a bit; cold, distant eyes and casual movements were key to capturing this character. Guided by the photographer, I tried various postures—sitting, standing, and leaning against the chair back—expressing a contrasting sense of effortless relaxation yet powerful presence.

My condition on the shoot day was quite good. Taking about two hours from makeup and hair to completing the outfit, the preparation was thorough. What satisfied me most was the moment light and shadow fell across my profile through the hat brim, which, together with fluttering hair, instantly maximized the atmosphere. Although this holy mage style requires wearing a fully covered costume, the sense of ritual and ethereal beauty truly relies on complete equipment to convey. Every real-scene studio shooting with rich decor feels like a mini theatrical performance, and immersing oneself in it is immensely enjoyable.
