This Honkai: Star Rail x White Rabbit collaboration speed race shoot for the Tree Court Group involved a full day of candid shooting in front of the shopping mall's glass curtain wall. Hyacinthia's look features pink twintails paired with a red beret, a white ruffled collar, and a textured white knit cardigan over top, making the whole look particularly bright. Because pink hair can easily look unnatural, the wig was meticulously thinned at the roots and layered so the ends have a fluffy look. The makeup focused on blush and lip color, using a reddish blush on both cheeks to give a healthy complexion. The plush doll from this White Rabbit collaboration is very soft; holding it as a prop made the photos more lively and nicely echoed the theme of the collaboration speed challenge.
On Anaxagoras's side, there is long silver hair combined with the iconic single eyepatch. The eyepatch has gold trim, and the four-pointed star pattern and chain details were a true test of reproduction accuracy. To match the character, the base makeup intentionally used cool undertones, and darker lip makeup was applied, paired with a white chunky knit vest and blue bow tie, exuding a natural cool aloofness. Since I am female myself, when interpreting Anaxagoras, to create the visual effect of the character, I intentionally added contour shading on the shoulders, elongated my neck line while posing, and focused on lowering my gaze, using this contrast to showcase the character's aura.
The biggest considerations during shooting were wrinkles on clothing and lighting. White knitwear easily picks up dust, so it had to be smoothed out frequently. The reflection of the mall's glass curtain wall provides very even skin tones, but it can also easily cast strange light spots on the face, so we adjusted our standing positions during the shoot to keep faces consistently in the soft light zone. In post-processing, there wasn't excessive skin smoothing—we simply cleaned up some frizzy edges of the wig and brightened the eye highlights to make the gaze look sharper. The two of us had a lot of interaction while posing, such as making peace signs or grabbing the big white rabbit plush doll together, looking very harmonious against the mall floor reflections.
Regarding wig styling this time, Hyacinthia's pink-and-blue gradient was truly a challenge. To ensure it wouldn't flatten, we had to apply setting spray in sections and comb through it to maintain each strand's curl. For Anaxagoras, the long silver hair also required special braided styling at the ends so it would flow gracefully when walking. The knitted texture of the white sweater looked especially good under the flash, but it is prone to pilling, so we were very careful when putting it on and taking it off to ensure pristine photoshoot quality. The angle of Hyacinthia's red beret is also crucial; tilting it slightly both flatters the face and fits the overall cute atmosphere. My partner and I shared great chemistry, and this Tree Court Group collaboration delivered a very pleasant visual experience. After the shoot, we went to eat together at the mall—this kind of daily life creating satisfying work with friends is truly fulfilling.
