Shooting this official set of Tingyun is truly a pursuit of chasing light to the extreme for a night portrait. Wearing fluffy fox ears and a deep brown base layer with hollowed-out and lace-up designs, I traversed back and forth through this corridor hung with red lanterns. Photographer Bingyu is highly skilled at using warm lighting to soften the originally sharp clothing textures, auxiliary highlighting the facial expressions through the green-tinted eyes.

The details of this costume are actually hidden quite deeply. First are the golden accessories and small metal bells at the waist, which, combined with the bright red belt and white hem, pack a strong color impact. During daily walking, the tail and the bells at the lower back make light sounds. Although the ambient noise was quite loud, during quiet candid gaps, these minor details made me feel closer to the world the character lives in. The white thin sheer sleeve hems layered on the outside floating in the night breeze put high demands on the photographer's candid capturing of static moments, and the dynamic effects in the final photos are indeed exceptionally graceful.

The fluffy texture of the fox ears is very soft, cooperating with a touch of reddish-brown gradient at the hair tips to make me look extraordinarily vivid under the warm yellow light as a Fox girl. During the shooting process, most of the time required relying on facial expressions to convey emotions, such as twisting a folding fan for half-concealment or sitting upright on a wooden bench with a slight head tilt, all hoping to bring out a bit of the character's slyness within the static frame. From half-body close-ups to full-body standing positions that showcase leg lines, every change of camera position was a brand-new atmosphere recombination.

This set of photos did not intentionally pursue brilliant filters, but strove to preserve the authentic skin tones and halo gradients illuminated under the lanterns. The red prayer plaque wall served as a backdrop, using a wide aperture to blur it into gorgeous bokeh spots; the red background and warm frontal light complement each other beautifully. The blue bracelet on the left wrist acted beautifully as an embellishment for warm-and-cold contrast. The shooting process went very smoothly, which also benefited from the night lighting itself providing a wonderful field atmosphere without needing overly tedious artificial fill light.

Although this styling carries many burdens of accessories, the process of shooting a cosplay photoshoot is an immersive experience in itself. Guided by the Chinese-style photography environment, wooden railings, and props, movements became more natural, and the closing and unfolding of the folding fan could also become the visual focus, driving the person's entire aura. If I had to pick a single shot most suitable as a cover, I feel the one sitting on the bench has the most complete sense of framing, where the leg lines form a wonderful visual balance point with the warm yellow bokeh behind, perfectly displaying the overall styling features of this costume.

When shooting this set of photos, it happened to match the faint light of the night. Surrounding tourists gradually dispersed, allowing me to exclusively enjoy this Chinese-style photography night scene to capture these moments—truly a highly fortunate experience. Re-browsing these official photos, I feel the cooperation of light, shadow, and styling are complementary. Every swinging fan leaf and fluttering hair strand is the result of my search for the best angle and posture. The fragmented memories of this character in my mind at that time became clear and concrete amid the camera shutter clicks.

Sorting out this backlog of stockpiled images counts as an accountability for the shooting achievements during this period. I hope the night shooting atmosphere with its warm and Chinese-style charm in this photo set can completely convey the lightweight aesthetic beauty of this styling as I understand it, allowing me to relive that concentration during night shooting and share this detailed presentation.
