Although it looks casual and lazy, I actually put a lot of thought into the wig combing and accessory matching. The long golden hair needed to be styled in layers to fall naturally on the shoulders, and paired with the fluffy animal ear headband on my head, it instantly created a sweet, atmospheric photography vibe. The red leather collar around the neck is the crowning touch; the metal buckles and the small round pendant next to it look exceptionally eye-catching against the white background, brightening the overall tone.

In terms of clothing choice, I intentionally wore this oversized white T-shirt. The loose fit is not only comfortable to wear but also creates a natural sense of taking a nap at home. Instead of choosing complex and gorgeous costumes, this minimalist white T-shirt highlights the animal ears and collar elements on the head much better, focusing the visual center on the face and upper body, creating a relaxed, casual yet slightly cute contrast.

Before the shoot, I thought for a long time about what kind of background would match this lazy and cute atmosphere. Ultimately, I chose this raw wood rattan woven circular headboard frame as the backdrop, paired with a large area of pure white bedsheets. This combination of material and color inherently carries a refreshing Japanese style, achieving a high visual uniformity with the white T-shirt. The soft afternoon sunlight spilled in through the window, giving the entire frame a slightly warm, gentle, and delicate texture akin to a "kinako color tone." This tone not only complements the skin color beautifully but also gives the photos an inherent healing energy.

For composition, we tried a currently popular half-body close-up depth-of-field effect. The photographer used a large aperture to blur the hand stretching forward while focusing on the face and chest. This combination of reality and illusion, on one hand, breaks the rigid flat feeling and enhances the storytelling of the frame, as if I am inviting the audience across the screen to play together; on the other hand, the blurred hand guides the visual flow, letting the audience's gaze fall naturally on the character's expressions and clothing details. During the shoot, I actually had to maintain a half-reclining posture, relax my shoulders, and empty my gaze a bit to capture those accidental, casual moments. If too tense, the atmospheric photography vibe would be greatly compromised.

This time, the animal ear elements combined with the home setting made me deeply realize that catgirl cosplay photography doesn't have to be in grand scenes, nor does it have to feature complex armor or gorgeous ancient costumes. Sometimes, returning to a comfortable daily state and strengthening local features can display the real-life side more vividly. Shooting this style of photos actually has high lighting requirements—the light must not be too harsh; it is best to use a softbox or a fill light with a diffuser, which can make the skin look as delicate as if it has been smoothed in post-processing, while preserving the details of the fluffy animal ears and hair strands.

In terms of makeup, it's actually a light nude look, with a bit of blush to lift the complexion, and the eye makeup is not heavy either, so it won't look too mature when paired with the golden hair. At the same time, during the shooting process, to find the best angles, I repeatedly adjusted the placement of my legs, aiming to keep them both natural and long-looking. This kind of rattan bed is truly amazing for portraits; as long as the lighting is in place, any shot delivers a warm, cozy feeling. To make the tail look natural, we also did some simple staging behind me, ensuring the tail matched the color of the overall golden hair and animal ears, enhancing the sense of completeness. With props and hair and makeup ready, half of a good work is already successful, and the rest is just natural expression. I don't recommend intentionally posing; try to immerse yourself in this atmosphere, imagining yourself as this slightly mischievous and highly healing little kitten. This heartfelt relaxation ultimately presents the most authentic effect in front of the lens.
