[Firefly cosplay] Honkai: Star Rail — JK Firefly on a Spring Night

A lot of preparation went into this Night view JK shoot inspired by Firefly's Spring Postcard from Honkai: Star Rail. To capture that quiet yet romantic nighttime street vibe, I specifically picked a location with puddles and reflections. The first composition uses a crouching pose to flatter the leg lines and showcase the texture of the White tights, while ground reflections give the frame a more dimensional look. The second is a standing pose holding a bouquet, focusing on the blend between facial expression and the flowers. For styling, the wig ends were dyed with a soft gradient to turquoise-blue, and blue contact lenses were chosen to match the character design. The sailor uniform is a long-sleeved white style with delicate gold embroidery, paired with a gray pleated plaid skirt, a vintage leather satchel, and a subtle bouquet to enhance the overall ambiance. Night photography is far more complex than shooting by day; balancing flash with ambient light is crucial to keep the blue background from overexposing. Reflections on the wet ground are the highlight of this set, though you have to be careful not to catch camera equipment in the puddles. Keeping your center of gravity steady while crouching is key to getting clean shots. We also made sure to capture clear details of the skirt and cuffs, which, paired with the night neon bokeh, create a visual tone that feels both cool and warm. This gives the photos rich emotional depth, primarily emphasizing a quiet, vigilant tenderness on a nighttime street. Adjusting the reflection angles and poses took quite some time, and post-processing focused mainly on the contrast between blues and warm yellows to give the environment a more translucent, crisp feel.
