Putting on this outfit of Cartethyia, the parts that took the most thought were that pair of elf ears and the blue and white gradient long gauze. The wig used three pieces spliced together to recreate a lightweight sense of layering, and the small stars on the hair ornaments were glued on by hand little by little. During the shoot, I specially chose this scene with blue and white flowers and classical stone columns, which matches the character's own cool color tone perfectly. The kneeling posture was actually not easy for maintaining balance, especially with the ankles pressed against the carpet; I repeatedly adjusted more than a dozen times to find the best angle, but seeing the natural spreading arc of the gauze skirt and the faint light hitting the hair tips in the final photos, I felt it was entirely worth it. The open-back design of this costume highly tests the shoulder and neck lines, so I specifically practiced my posture before heading out. The photographer on-site said my gaze should be softer, with a touch of innocent laziness, and I feel the second snapshot resting my chin in hand turned out even more natural instead. The happiest part of doing cosplay is being able to bring flat 2D characters into reality. Although the props and clothes weigh nearly ten pounds combined, the moment I put them on, I automatically enter the character's state. I hope this restoration level can let everyone see the Cartethyia in my mind.
