[Hiyuki Cosplay] Dropped Tacet Marks and the Ice-Cold Blue-Purple Tones - Image 1

This set of Hiyuki cosplay from Wuthering Waves focuses on how to use makeup, styling, light, and shadow to present the imagery of tacet marks dropping to the ground. For the hairstyle part, I chose a light blue-purple long wig with slightly curled ends, paired with white ribbon hair accessories on both sides and a small white flower, retaining a soft embellishment amidst the cold tones. In terms of makeup, the red pupils are a highly critical point of recognition; paired with relatively thick red eyeshadow and eyelashes, it elongates the eye shape, emphasizing the character's inherent sense of aloofness. It perfectly captures the essence of a blue hair and red eyes cosplay.

The layers of the costume are quite complex, with blue-purple as the main tone overall. The outer layer is a semi-transparent tulle with a glossy feel, adorned with exquisite lace borders that feature scalloped textures along the edges. The inner layer adopts a low-cut design, revealing the collarbones and shoulder lines, echoing the unconstrained yet quiet traits in the character setting. There is a white rectangular decoration at the chest, and the fine chain around the neck along with the metallic bracelet on the wrist also add weight to the outfit, avoiding a visually floaty feel caused by the cold tones.

During the shoot, we specially chose a piece of white cloth printed with black brush calligraphy and rune patterns as the backdrop base. Since the setting at that time was the tacet marks hitting the ground, I chose a semi-reclining and semi-sitting posture. Curling up one leg while letting the other stretch out naturally, my body's center of gravity leaned slightly backward, looking casual and relaxed. A long sword prop with a metallic texture was placed beside me; the faint light reflected from the blade merged with the purple-blue ambient lights on the floor, instantly maxing out the overall mysterious atmosphere. For lighting, side cold light was applied, forming a sharp contrast on the hair strands and gauze skirt, making the skin look translucently white.

Shooting this set of photos encountered quite a few minor challenges. For example, the head accessories were easily pressed when lying down, requiring repeated angle adjustments. Also, the lace on the skirt hem could easily wrinkle into a ball while sitting, and the assistant helped tidy up the gauze several times by my side. However, I absolutely love the final visual effect; the light blue primary color scheme paired with the deep pupil color presents a serenity akin to the night sea surface under dark-field lighting. The material of the costume actually feels nice to the touch; although it's gauze, it has a certain structural support, so it won't appear saggy. In terms of focus on details, the gripping posture of the props, including the sword, underwent a scene-based restoration. When selecting photos, I placed special importance on the transmission of the gaze; the red pupils needed to just catch the reflected light source so that the entire demeanor would feel rich with a narrative sense. I hope this work stands out beautifully as part of my creation for the Wuthering Waves Creator Incentive.
