[Jinhsi Cosplay] The White-Clothed Swordsman from Wuthering Waves, Freezing the Moment of Swinging the Sword

This time I'm bringing you a cosplay work of Jinhsi from Wuthering Waves. Before this set was actually executed, a lot of homework was done. From the choice of clothing fabrics to the styling of the wig, I am quite satisfied with the final texture presented. This look overall adopts the classic color scheme of white, black, gold, and blue, which visually carries a cool elegance while adding a touch of heroic vigor thanks to the black-and-gold armor. The combination of white thigh-high boots and the skirt visually elongates proportions, giving more room for posing flexibility.

On the day of the shoot, the lighting conditions were actually quite complex, but photographer Teacher WiFi was exceptionally skilled at utilizing the ambient light on-site. Combined with some point light sources he set up, he cast beautiful out-of-focus bokeh on the dark background, creating an atmosphere rich in cyber-fantasy. I tried several different pose combinations in front of the lens. For instance, the high leg-lift with head tilted up in the first picture actually required quite a bit of core strength; we tried several times just to capture the fluttering moment of the skirt hem. There is also the knee-down pose holding the sword, which I feel best embodies the character's heroic air. Paired with the white long boots and metallic sword hilt, the visual tension was immense.

To express the character's ethereal feel this time, I specially prepared a long white twin-tail wig with a light blue gradient at the tips. The difficulty of this hairstyle lay in securing the headpieces and maintaining the fluffiness of the hair strands. To complement the blue ribbons and bow decorations, we made many internal anchor points on top of the head to ensure that even when making large movements, the wig wouldn't easily fly off or block my line of sight. For the shots where I lay down with eyes closed, we padded with a white fluffy blanket, which prevented the costume from getting dirty while matching the overall clean color tone perfectly. The huge white plush prop beside me also provided a very comfortable leaning angle, making that lying-flat photo look extraordinarily peaceful and cozy.

The shoot actually took place at an anime convention venue. The surrounding area was filled with fellow enthusiasts and was quite noisy, but the photographer was very experienced. He found a relatively quiet corner and used the venue's own black backdrop wall along with the on-site lighting to complete this high-end set of convention photos. Since we were shooting close-ups and half-body combat postures, the overall backdrop selection was very clean, uninterrupted by the complex posters and booth backgrounds at the convention.

The post-processing for the entire photoset didn't involve overly exaggerated edits. It mainly adjusted the warm-and-cool contrast and skin transparency, making the white main color tone pop even more while preserving the real texture of the black leather and gold patterns on the clothing. The character's sword prop was also very lightweight, so holding it wasn't too fatiguing, allowing me to focus on my facial expression management. Seeing everyone like the photos after posting them makes me realize that behind every carefully prepared cosplay work lies the multi-faceted cooperation of logistics, photography, and the model. I also want to give a special thanks to Qiuqiu, the logistics helper who helped organize the clothing and headpieces. Without her keeping an eye on the details by my side, I couldn't have completed this shoot so smoothly.
