[Klee Cosplay] Genshin Impact's Spark Knight: Freezing Cuteness in a Fairy Tale Mushroom Garden

Shooting this set of Genshin Impact Klee photos, I primarily wanted to present that innocent, romantic, and slightly mischievous trait inherent to her. From early preparation to ground execution, everyone was highly dedicated throughout the entire cycle.

For the costume, I chose this set from Jiangnan Miaoci, which features a classic red, white, and black color palette. Complemented by the large red bowknot at the neckline and a black vest, it looks very refined even for daily wear. The skirt hem has lace patchwork and white small flower embellishments, with a highly fluffy silhouette that props up the entire cute shape during actual shoots. The wig was customized by Master Da'e on Xianyu, trimmed very naturally. The golden gradient hair color matches beautifully with the red small bowknot on top of the head and the large magic hat; it is relatively stable to wear, remaining perfectly intact despite running and goofing around in the studio, beautifully accentuating the Fairy tale style makeup and styling.

The shooting venue this time was chosen at Chunzi's studio, and the set genuinely fits the character's aura remarkably well. The studio was arranged with giant red mushrooms, next to which hung transparent bead strands, along with faux greenery and plenty of white-and-blue-toned floral arrangements. The white polka dots and fuzzy texture on the mushrooms were highly well-restored. Complemented by warm-toned soft lighting, the entire scene directly coaxes out an Alice in Wonderland-style fairy tale atmosphere. The green grass carpet on the ground feels very comfortable to touch, allowing one to sit or lie directly on it. Paired with a low camera angle for Cosplay photography, it vividly manifests the height contrast between the character and the mushrooms.

The photography was done by Master Lan Lin, whose control over the lighting was extremely precise, shooting both the fabric texture and gloss of the clothes without overexposing the highlights. Especially the rim light along the edges of the hair strands and the warm-colored reflections on the mushroom props make the overall frame look gentle yet structured. Throughout the shooting process, Master Lan kept guiding poses and capturing expressions. For instance, the shot of taking a short nap with closed eyes in Figure 3 was actually a relaxed state during a continuous burst shoot, which she keenly captured, giving the composition a strong narrative feel. The movement of lifting a leg and waving in Figure 4 was actually tried several times in front of the lens; it required balancing center-of-gravity control and the position of the platform black Mary Jane shoes on the feet. With the cooperation of black gloves, the ultimate dynamic effect shot was highly satisfying.

This time happened to coincide with the Kunming Comic Convention period, so I briefly browsed around after finishing the shoot in the studio. Many fellow fans passing by and seeing this getup and scene would stop in their tracks; some recognized me as Klee from Genshin Impact, while others inquired about the source of the wig and clothes, which is probably where the joy of role-playing lies. Everyone's enthusiasm for this work makes me feel that all the hardships of fussing over the styling and props in the early stages were well worth it.

During shooting breaks, I also carefully examined some small details in the studio, such as those decorative white flowers, the lace edges at the bottom of the giant red mushrooms, and the blue-purple irises arranged in the background corner. These floral elements form a color contrast with the red-and-white outfit, keeping the composition from becoming too cluttered while maintaining rich visual layers.

Overall, the smooth presentation of this photo set relies on the tacit cooperation among the clothes, wig, scene, and photographer. Although crouching on the grass carpet to switch poses, adjusting sock positions, and repeatedly locking actions indeed consumed some physical energy, seeing the color and atmosphere of the final prints makes me feel very happy inside. The combination of this look and this red mushroom studio surpassed expectations in terms of visual integration.
