[Keqing cosplay] Genshin Impact: Wherever Lightning Falls, Resolution and Judgment Await

For this shoot, I chose Keqing's 'Opulent Splendor' outfit. The design of this skin is remarkably sophisticated, demanding tremendous care from pattern-making to fabric selection. The bodice is crafted from a subtly shimmering pearlescent black textile that catches the light with refined luster, reinforced with internal boning to preserve a structured, sharp silhouette. The skirt features tiered, overlapping sheer tulle in vivid royal blue and violet that billows weightlessly with every step. To honor the asymmetrical tailoring, a dark blue bow was added at the waist as a visual transition, giving the silhouette richer dimensional depth.

A special mention goes to the accessories and fine details: the detachable sleeves are worn separately, and the black bat-wing shaped cuffs and golden accents at the wrists had to be individually fastened and readjusted constantly to avoid slipping. The openwork black lace choker around the neck delicately framed the collarbones. The Black stockings worn here are truly the crowning touch—aligning the white butterfly prints and geometric chevron lines accurately was paramount; once on, they not only flatter and slim the legs, but also echo the skin's signature motifs harmoniously.

For the wig, I went with long lavender-purple waves. The top required shaping into her signature odango buns, accented with blue and black ribbon clips. To ensure the bangs naturally traced my facial contours, I used ample styling spray to shape the edges so they framed the face softly rather than stiffly. The eye makeup featured a generous wash of pink tones paired with violet-pink contact lenses, slightly flicking the winged liner upward to inject that sharp Electro edge. A dusting of blush across the bridge of the nose and cheeks lent a vibrant, healthy flush that popped under camera strobes.

As for props, I prepared a broadsword with a purple-to-pink gradient blade. Its hilt details are exquisitely carved, and the sword carries noticeable weight. When posing with it, finding the proper balance point, aligning wrist angles, and locking intense eye contact was essential to radiate effortless, poised prowess rather than simply hoisting a heavy weight.

Locations were split between an indoor lounge and outdoor city streets. For the sofa shots, I tried stepping onto the couch barefoot without shoes to directly accentuate my leg lines in a relaxed, languid mood. The sheer texture of the Black stockings looked delightfully delicate under indoor lighting, while the dark charcoal sofa contrasted cleanly against the vivid blue-violet dress. For the outdoor standing shots with the sword, we harnessed natural light: side-backlight sculpted my figure, bringing out fabric textures, the translucency of the sheer tulle, and the gleaming edge of the blade for dramatic tension. It was rather warm outside that day, and shooting in full regalia had me sweating quite a bit, but seeing the final interplay of light and shadow made every effort worthwhile. I truly hope each frame captures the unmistakable spirit of Keqing.
