[Shigure Ui cosplay] Classroom Desks, Chairs, and White Stockings with Twin Tails

Today, I shot this Shigure Ui look in the studio. The overall aesthetic channels a classic Campus style school uniform: a crisp white collared shirt beneath a deep-navy sleeveless pinafore dress, accented with a red ribbon bowtie at the collar and cinched by a black leather belt with a silver square buckle. For hair, I styled a light-blonde twin-tail wig adorned on both sides with white fluffy pom-pom hair ties. To bring a crystal-clear luminescence to the eyes, I wore vibrant green contact lenses and layered subtle, dimensional eyeshadow gradation.

Great care went into tailoring and silhouettes: the white blouse was chosen with a slightly relaxed fit so the sleeves would naturally gather in gentle folds, preventing the layered pinafore dress from looking constrained. The navy pinafore features a tapered waist, where the black leather belt serves not only as a stylistic highlight, but also visually raises the waistline. The White stockings are the centerpiece of this coordination—selected with balanced opacity and excellent elasticity to hug leg contours smoothly, yielding an immaculately clean texture under high-key studio strobes. Since the shoot involved frequent kneeling and shifting, the stocking material proved essential: subtle compression cuffs kept the fabric perfectly taut without slipping down during dynamic poses.

We fully leveraged the classroom desks and chairs to enrich composition. The first pose involved kneeling atop the wooden desk, gently pinching the skirt hem—a stance demanding tight core engagement to balance upright without hunching the shoulders. The second featured sitting sideways along the edge of the desk with legs gently crossed, accentuating the sculpted lines of the White stockings; the soft knee bend captured from an eye-level flank perspective visually elongated body proportions. Other setups included sitting demurely on the chair with hands clasped over knees while leaning slightly forward, and a final shot raising a plush yellow chick charm with an outstretched arm and a slight backward torso tilt, creating dynamic vertical tension across the frame.

Regarding accessories, the black round-rimmed glasses and the yellow chick plush on the desk added wonderful charm. Posing as if slipping them on or lifting them high added narrative warmth. Kicking off my red-and-white flat loafers and leaving them casually on the studio floor brought an authentic slice-of-life intimacy. The clean white backdrop was lit with soft, diffuse high-key illumination to banish harsh cast shadows, leaving both the shirt and stockings looking bright and translucent.

Throughout the session, the photographer and I experimented with perspectives. When seated, a slight high-angle plunge magnified ocular proportions for anime fidelity; conversely, side-level framing emphasized the continuous flow of the legs. To remain effortless before the lens, I kept hand gestures relaxed—propping against the desk, interlocking fingers, or holding small trinkets to soften rigid tension. Cheeks were dusted with a broad sweep of peachy blush to evoke demure innocence, finished with high-shine lip glaze that glistened under studio lamps. While solid-color backdrops seem straightforward, elevating character traits and emotional nuance takes deliberate care in styling and choreography. Navigating and balancing atop wooden desks while keeping toes pointed was physically taxing, but seeing those lively, organic moments frozen in the final gallery made every effort truly worthwhile.
